There's nothing WIFOM about it. The problem with his defense is that mafia may have flavour cops.

I'm still unsure about the whole situation, but the deadline is tomorrow and if Jonty stays clearly ahead of Saf like he currently is, I'll hammer.

Edoc/Squirrel, can you announce at what hour the deadline ends?

Oh, wait, we have 24 hours more than what I thought!

Any chance we can get some more discussion going?

Flavour cop, lucky guess or some kind of trick are all possible. Same goes for me. I'm not quite ready to hammer as I think there could be more discussion made (and I should have more time soon to contribute to that discussion) but I am willing to hammer.

F***! Finish rereading but don't think I have time to do much. I don't know when official deadline is going to be so:

Vote Jonty to make good on my promise earlier and so that deadline isn't reached with a no lynch.

Other than that, a quick note that I don't completely trust Victor. I'll go more into this tomorrow as I don't have time for a long post right now and it is somewhat dependent on how Jonty flips. Tails has been inactive today and was big on the chap case yesterday but while there's a couple small things I agreed that chap was suspicious and that it was a decent day 1 case.

Cronus and Prometheus. Once they had been allies, now they were mortal foes. Since his fall Cronus had hidden in the depths of the earth and had only recently returned to the surface. Cronus had one fatal flaw and that flaw was arrogance. He believed all the Titans were behind his goals of conquest, all forced to follow him out fear, out of fear of him and fear of the rival Olympians. In is arrogance he did not see that there was a Titan who did not fear him. That oversight would be his downfall. The Titan with the gift of Fire spoke the mortal words and revealed the King of the Titans. With this knowledge the Olympians moved against the fallen god and struck him down a second time. There would be no second chances for Cronus this time. His body struck the ground, his sickle fell from his weakening grasp, and his final breath passed from his lips.

Heh, I just read Mr. S's update in his game. I guess I'm on my own for the night. All night actions will have to come to me. Just resend them if you already sent a copy to Mr. S.

Perhaps a prod? I know that I tend to react more towards PMs than what's said in thread often.

Satan watched his forces move across the surface of the world beneath him. Yesterday they had suffered a great loss, but tonight would even the scales. A grim resolve settled upon him, he had lost the last battle and could ill afford to lose another. His forces moved and Satan was pleased at what he saw.

Beneath him stood Zeus, King of the Olympians. His forces moved, lightning flashed and all was still. Zeus lay lifeless on the ground, lightning bolts slipping from slackened grip.

Satan continued to watch over his forces, but for the rest of the night victory eluded them. Taking solace in the efforts of the night, the Titans hid themselves from the breaking of the dawn.

So far we have 8 players left, including a claimed doublevoter and a claimed 3rd-party watcher. I'm still trying to wrap my head around something I'm finding eery, but first we got to ask: "who did Saf watch?"

It's a good thing you don't want to jump to conclusions, because I didn't visit strike.

I am the Town Watcher, haha. Yes, I'm aware that I didn't counterclaim safari before. He bet his life that jonty was scum, so I held back claiming. My quote after safari claimed explains it all:
Victor Sullivan wrote:Hmm, a third party Watcher seems like a strange role, so I'd be more inclined, truthfully, to believe jonty (though safari's swearing on his life rather throws me off). However, even if safari is lying, it's not a bad trade, as Rodion mentioned. I'll abstain from voting until we reach a conclusion.

-Sully

If jonty flipped town, we'd be able to lynch safari without my having to claim, and if jonty flipped scum, well, maybe safari was telling the truth, or at least was able to get information on people somehow. As I can plainly see now, he's a fraud and should be disposed of. My night actions:

Night 1: Watched Rodion, who was visited by chap and strike (who are both dead!! I watched Rodion, because I guess I thought the mafia would target him and not the obvious claimed doc? *shrugs* Could've been one of my late nights when I'm not thinking properly, or else I just forget what I watched him for - maybe to verify future claims as Rodion seems like he would be a frequently targeted player? *sigh* I need to start taking notes, haha).
Night 2: Watched strike wolf, who was visited by none other than safariguy5. I thought I'd hold off releasing this information to see if safari had any more scum to oust today, but I was sadly disappointed.
It sucks that my counterclaim can't very well be verified, but trust me on this. I know I've made some stupid moves in the past, but I've been trying to be more careful this game (abstaining from claiming Day 2, being lighter on the silly posts).

I bet my life that safari is scum! Haha Or if nothing else, a malicious 3rd party instead of a friendly one.

This is fantastic! Another lie (either by Saf or Victor), another lynch!

I'm not buying VS's claim, but I do want to understand how Jonty KNEW Safari was Prometheus. I pretty much see 3 possibilities:
a) mafia has a flavour cop and they can talk during the day (flavour cop told Jonty about Saf's identity)
b) Jonty's GF was unusual in that his power was not the traditional cop-immunity or bulletproof, but a flavour cop power
c) Jonty and Saf are both mafia and bussed each other so the winner could have "permanent" town credit

I do feel VS is the one that has to die, though. For several reasons. But I'd like time to think everything through and see what other players have to say before anything rash is done!

Also, Sully never nameclaimed. Which God are you Sully? It might make it easier if he claims a name and someone counterclaims him.

So, against Saf:

a) poor D1 for a survivor, was more active than what he should
b) weird interaction with Jonty (Jonty's knowledge that he was Prometheus)

Against Victor:

a) claiming without providing his name
b) not watching Chap during N1, as requested by me and even acknowledged by VS (he has a "Ahhh, true" post in reply to mine)
c) allowing Jonty to die if he knew Safari's claim to be fake
d) assuming Safari is mafia, why would Safari lie to implicate VS if he would die the following day AFTER he bussed his godfather?
e) if Safari is flat out lying and you know it, why didn't you instantly vote him, VS?

Vote VS.

If by a longshot VS is indeed the town watcher, we lynch Safari next.

Oh, one more thing, Victor. Claim your god so your mafia faction has 1 less fakeclaim option. Thank you!

Explaining "d": if Safari threw his godfather under the bus for town credit, I don't think he would risk that costly credit the following day just to get 1 mislynch (this is not MYLO).
