On this yes i took turns this morning at like 4am, but that was just before i had to head to work as i always do and do not have time for mafia. I'm not gonna post anything on topic atm in this thread as i no longer have time as i'm on my break which is over.

Enough time to post night actions?

Some people do thing more important then CC.

We all have lives, which is why we have the option to join games or not. My wife and I have our own bussiness and life. I have been invited to join several other mafia games, which I politely declined as I am in two. Most of my game thoughts happen when I am away from the site so when I sit I can go to it. I dont wish this to be a distraction.

Somewhat of both. My first post after I lynched Rodion explains my actions. Anything I'll say to my defense will be a rephrasing of the same thing.

I can claim, if you wish, but it's not going to be pretty. At least I'm not too much of a power role.

*Omg did I just soft-claim?*

well considering day 2 had started at 2:30 am and i didn't come on till 4am that would have been to late to do any night actions. so your words are completely out of time.

Well, time to claim? Yes, I think it's time.

I am Garruk Wildspeaker - Town Tracker and I am of the green mana type. Last night I tracked DoomYoshi :| And DoomYoshi targeted me, too! I was hoping he'd confirm my innocence today, but I guess he can't :( That was the main reason I posted this:

A mix of boredom and risk taking. I guess it could be summed up by the flavor text of Frenzied Goblin: "The upside to not thinking about the consequences is that you'll always surprise those who do" The mafia are already down one. Taking down two will be even better. It gets me invested in the game. Oh the possibilities if I survive! (That should be a goblin quote)

It is too small a game to have 3 investigatives and we assume we have a cop till proven otherwise.

Look at the post above yours (mine) Sully was effectively counter claimed. That is why sheep claimed, to hopefully catch Victor in a lie.

Your joking right?

Doom was our cop.

This is NOT a small game. Granted its not the largest but dont even try and assume you know what roles are involved.

Ive looked at the game archives.

Oh go boil yourself. I know way more about this game then you do and your attitude is beginning to wear on me. I have hosted twice as many games as you have even played. If I say that it is less then likely to have 3 investigative roles in a 15 man game its because its true. If you are going to insist on saying that I am wrong can you please for the love of god have some logic behind it? You are beating everything with the stick of "NO" and you have almost no idea what you are talking about.

So some basics. Very small 7 - 11 man game. It has one cop and 2 or 3 scum. That is just how it works. A small game like this has 3 scum and perhaps a SK, a cop and a watcher/tracker (not both) a doc and perhaps a JOAT if there is a lot of town power. The other roles are lesser ones. It does not have 3 or 4 out of the town 11 roles being investigative unless this is a mafia with crazy powerful roles (read: impossible to balance) If you have vanilla masons like SG and I that is a strong indication of only middling town power, not a super investigation squad of tracker watcher cop. Mid sized games (20-25 players) MIGHT have a cop watcher tracker trio, while big games (30+) will almost certainly have the trio.

I am sorry that in all your reading you were unable to figure this out. That being said, balance is something that takes a while to understand, and I don't expect them to pick it up in a game or two. However I do expect a basic level of civility. Take the lead for better players then yourself. of the living players PCM and I are easily the oldest in mafia. If we wholeheartedly agree about something at least give us some benefit of the doubt and THINK about what we are saying.

Someone else mentioned Investigations shortly before I posted and I in error forgot the cop was already killed this morning. That being said this only furthers my point. A watcher and a tracker and no cop is possible but highly unorthodox. The existence of a dead cop basically drops the chances of the there being both a tracker and a watcher to about a step above nill. The only real question in my mind is which one is lying Victor or PCM? Either one is capable in my mind of pulling a claim like this in an effort to kill the last investigative role in a game.

Ability stacking (Lots of any one type of role) is considered bastard modding for exactly these reasons. A supposed increase in town power just causes confusion and counterclaiming. If safari went over the balance with slow I hope he would have prevented that setup, as he is one of the best players here.

There I've done it. You pissed me off, I was rude. Hopefully things will settle into a more manageable situation. Please, do not be so entirely dismissive of opinions that differ from your own.

Pretty simple really. This is a game of lieing. When I see a statement like your cop one ...everything that follows is suspect wether you are sincere or not.

Gah, there you go, ignoring the entire point of my argument. This is about argument and counter argument not lets see how much dirt we can throw at each other to discredit the other guys.

.... you aren't helping much here although I can't say I particularly blame you :)

I would say that in 90% of games there are fakes, although some are better then others. however I don't really see the relevance. Meta is important too, people typically do not act out of character or break from the norm.
