Champion Series #14

('Forced Sequential' Rules - see below)
(Important 1st Turn Rules (Fog of War) - see below)
A best-of-3, 16-player bracket-style knockout tournament.
'Forced Sequential' Rules:
- show
- Each match-up will be best-of-3.
One game will be sequential, the others freestyle where each player goes first (as green) once. This ensures no player starts all 3 games and thereby gains a massive advantage.
Although freestyle settings are used, players should play sequentially.
In simple terms, the difference with a normal freestyle game is that, during the first 12 hours of a turn, the player going second must wait until the player going first ends his turn.
This applies to the first turn where the TO will arrange staggerred invites to determine which player goes first.
If the player designated to go second (red) takes his turn within the first 12 hrs of the round (if green hasn't completed his turn), it will result in losing the game. Missing a turn or messing about with accepting an invite then dropping, or inviting someone (this is the TO's job) will be treated similarly.
If green doesn't take his turn within 12 hours then it is a legitimate for red to take his go. If red then finishes his turn before green then he is set to go first in the the next round. Green must then wait 12 hours or until red has finished his turn (green would lose the game if he fails to do so).
Missing a turn also results in losing the game in question.
To stay within the rules:
(1) Accept invites.
(2) Dont drop a game after accepting the invite.
(2.5) Don't invite someone to join you in a game (!).
(3) Remember, in the first round, green should go first, so, if you are green then play whenever you are ready.
(4) Be careful about going first, usually green should go first. So, if you are red do not play until either: green has finished his turn, or, 12 hours of the turn have elapsed. The only exception is when green has taken more than 12 hours to take his turn and has gained going first advantage (see above).
(5) Don't miss a turn.
(6) Report any rule violations by your opponent to the TO.
Question: If green misses a turn, or as he takes more than 12 hours, would red end up going first?
Answer: Red would end up going first in the round in question (and green lose the game if he misses entirely). In the following round, red would be set to go first and green must wait for 12 hours (or for red to finish his turn) before taking his turn (failure to do so, would result in green losing the game).

- show
- There will be 16 players.
Players must have a 97% attendance record, have played a minimum 25 matches, and not have dropped out from one of my tournaments previously! Premium required.
Players will have 24 hours to join their matches from when the joining PM is sent. Failure to do so will result in a reserve being sought (harsh, I know).
Winners of each match should PM the Tournament Organiser.
Reserves
- show
- After the First Round, reserve PMs will initially be sent to the player(s) eliminated in the previous round. If none of these players respond within 24 hours, then all players eliminated will be sent a PM. When a PM is sent, the first reserve to respond will gain a place.
For the first round, reserves will be drawn from the reserve list.
