Well, I got three extra wins since the update but I don't think it will be enough to keep me in the top two. Too bad. Good tourney though.

On the contrary mate, you're solidly in the top two of your group now, nice work! Glad you're enjoying my tournament I'm having a blast too, though things have gotten way too tight over in the Central Group for that last finals spot. Standings updated with Central Group included this time!

I'm not sure if that's worse than a game in Ireland I had (don't remember which one now) where I ended up not only having to nuke my own 8 stack (drew it for my fifth spoil, had no choice, you guys know how that goes) but it also broke my bonus! I almost cried...

Oh wow, thanks for updating the standings. It's much closer than I thought. Looks like it is all in swimmerdude99's hands now. Or I guess the other guys playing against him to help me make it to through. Go Erland & MoB Deadly!

A few more games added to the standings--that Eastern Group race for the second spot is tight! Unfortunately for RobbieDub, swimmerdude is in both the remaining games and could definitely get 3~4 points out of those the way things are looking but who knows?

I was hoping for a tie but even then swimmerdude would have more wins and I would be out. Oh well I will keep my fingers crossed until the end. What are your chances looking like Perchorin? It looks like nebsmith is going to take the second spot in the western group.

Sadly there 's a slim to none chance that I'll be getting my group's second finals spot, and Slim is heading for the door...

don't sweat it Robbie, Hahahah Ive gone 5-19 in the one game I had a shot at, you should be in this! Congrats to those who win through! I SHOULD be there :( but won't! hahahah darn dice fail on the turn I have a 22 stack on a 6 for the kill :(

Congrats! =D>

EDIT: Looks like I'm steaming on a comeback train! Robbie, good job in the series bro, but you will be one WIN shy of the 2nd place, we should tie in score, but I'll take the tiebreaker. Well played all!

The Western and Eastern groups are completed and we have our first four finalists! Congratulations to fairman and Erland for winning their respective groups, and nebsmith and swimmerdude99 for beating out some tremendous competition to snag the second place qualifier spots! It came down to the wire in both groups, with Gen. Ramsarelli, Risk_Averse, and most painfully RobbieDub falling short by the scantest of margins. Thanks to you guys and all the tremendous players in the Western and Eastern groups who made those games so thrilling. The Central group lags behind but I think we'll be able to start the final round within the week!

Still have two games left in the Central Group and that second spot is still up for grabs. neanderpaul14 has put on an absolute clinic in running away with the group, but amazingly three players are still in the hunt for that second slot with only two games ongoing. Vacius, nibotha and myself will win the last finals spot depending on how things shake out. Unfortunately even though he's currently sitting in third Dukasaur has no chance to advance as all his games are finished. Thanks to everyone in the Central Group for making it fun and exciting (if a bit slow on some people's parts) and good luck to those still in the running (fingers crossed!) :D

Well, things didn't work out for either nibotha or myself, we split those last two games and that means Vaicius is our final finalist, congratulations mate! I'll get the final round started today hopefully, free time at the workplace permitting. First map up will be Golfe du Saint-Laurent.

Took me til the weekend, but the first set of finals games are out. Good luck to all you lucky finalists!
Just a reminder, points DO NOT carry over from the first round, everyone starts back at zero.
HOWEVER--strikes against you incurred due to lapses in silence DO carry over. That means Erland, fairman, swimmerdude99 and Vaicius will all lose a point the next time they break their vow while neanderpaul14 and nebsmith still have a foul to give, so to speak.

So just a refresher for me here, we will play games on all three maps, and then the scores will be tallied and the winner is decided, correct?

That's right, same format as round one. The first map will be Gulf of St. Laurence, second map will be Indochina and the final map will be Cyprus. You've all won the right to play 30 more games!

Thanks again Paulie! I've got a lot on my plate at the moment but I'm definitely planning on making another one of these in the future.

We have our first standings of the final round updated in the second post. fairman is showing why he picked Golfe du Saint Laurent with a dominating performance, but can he keep it up when we move on to Indochina? Two games are ongoing from the first set, I'll make the second set (Indochina) early this week.
