BG, your accusations are completely WIFOM. Keep investigating me if you wish. I have nothing to hide. In fact, if there are any other investigative roles out there, go ahead and target me. Because we already killed the mafia framer, I don't need to worry about the scum messing up any investigations. I can't account for why you keep getting roleblocked, BG. If I knew, I would tell you.

Can anyone make sense of any of the actions hinted in the night scene? I feel like there is a lot there, but nothing concrete sticks out or is usable.

Well, 3 things to pick apart from the scene:

strike wolf wrote:In one part of town, a man ran through the streets, from what or towards what no one was really sure.

I don't have a clue about this. Commuter maybe? Not sure this one is crucial to finding mafia.

In another area, a gun was fired at the wall with no particular target.

Another person found blood but no body and in the end when they all met up in the morning not a single soul was missing.

Here we have a gunshot at a wall, and then blood found somewhere. I don't see how the gunshot in the scene would have drawn any blood, so it's possible we're dealing with 2 kill attempts. Here are my thoughts on the scene:

1) We know the mafia has used a gun, so it's very likely that's the first of the two scenes. "Fired at the wall" could be a roleblock? I'm not sure how else mafia would shoot at a wall. If this is the case, Sully is my main suspect, as he's already admitted being roleblocked.

2) The shot at the wall could be some kind of vig ability that doesn't always have success. This would make the second scene the mafia kill, in which case theres a good chance a doc/bodyguard got involved.

Zimmah's night proved fruitless, so if there's a 4th investigative role, now might be a good time to disclose some information.

I thought godfathers came up town under investigation not bulletproof :-s

The scene is pretty vague, all I can really gather from it is that night actions went down, and that it seems to imply that a kill (or more?) was attempted but was not successful. The potential reasons for this are myriad and nearly impossible to pin down to one cause from the scene. Here are some possibilities off the top of my head.
A doctor action successfully saved the kill target,
Safariguy used his bodyguard powers on the target and he is a variant where he can survive such an action and does not kill the attacker.
Safariguy used his bodyguard powers on the target and he is a variant where dies in such and action and cannot kill the attacker, but a doctor then saved safariguy.
Safariguy used his bodyguard powers on the target and he is a variant where he can survive such an action and does kill the attacker, but a doctor saved the attacker.
A bullet-proof role was targeted for the kill. (Potentially either town or mafia aligned.)
The mafia killer was roleblocked.
A commuter who was commuting was targeted.
Any of the above with a busdriver action thrown in the make it more complicated.
jonty125 wrote:I thought godfathers came up town under investigation not bulletproof :-s
Depending on the mod, a mafia godfather can have either or both of those powers.

I feel like some of the latter choices are more likely.

I feel like if safari did something:
1. It would be in the scene flavor a lot more
2. He would say something

1. Probably something about pushing someone out the way or throwing themselves in front of the bullet

I reread my role PM, and I'm the regular type of bodyguard who dies if the person he's protecting is targeted. Samuel L. Jackson isn't that invincible in this role.

Again, I protected BG, and unless I have some sort of jailkeeping ability that I'm not aware of (which would be major role bastardization by the mod) someone else has to be blocking him.

I'm really not seeing the case on Mr. S. I haven't seen much solid evidence to say that he is mafia, and we're not sure if the proton pack really IS the vig invention. I think the shooting at a wall bit from the scene looks like roleblocking to me. So I would like to investigate Sully as he claims he was roleblocked and it looks to me like the roleblocker prevented some sort of kill.

Well, sort of. It does seem like newguy has some sort of night action based on his statement. However, this game appears to be essentially non-vanilla any way, so that revelation doesn't really mean much right now. The only way I see it being of any real importance is if newguy later claims a role without a night action.

I am the town vigilante. I (somewhat accidentally) killed wildwilliam Night 1 and I killed Rodion Night 2. I won't disclose who I targeted Night 3 for obvious reasons.

Well, since you have decided to claim, will you through out your character name to complete it. Can you elaborate on how you sort of "accidentally" killed wildwilliam? Next, please provide some of your thought process behind your kill choices thus far. And finally, what are these obvious reasons that you won't tell us your night 3 target, as they aren't that obvious to me...

Well, his name was "wildwill hickok" in the player list (strike wolf apologized - it's all good, strike ;) ), and I couldn't remember someone of that name posting, so I thought I might as well kill an inactive than no one at all. And yes, I am aware of the fopaux of vigging someone Night 1.

hmm, if you're telling the truth, then my theory of flores (now drake) being a roleblocker is false. i'm curious as to what drake really is now then, as it would have made sense if drake was a roleblocker, because a killing role seems to have been roleblocked on both night 1 and night 3, and since VS was targeted by flores on night 1 (i know this for fact) and claims to be roleblocked on night 3, as well as not wanting to reveal who his target was, as well as stating this will be an interesting day for him, makes victor sound really scummy to me.

i mean, VS was targeted bight 1 (we're not sure what role it was that targeted him). on the same night, a kill was prevented from happening.
on night 3, VS was roleblocked, on the same night, a kill was prevented from happening.

also, he claims this all conveniently after the SK has been killed, so it's less likely the other killing role would counterclaim.

i think we're on to something here.

drake, can you prove my theory wrong?

what if victor was lying about who he really targeted?
Night 1
Night 2
Night 3

i'm not saying victor is lying, i'm just saying it's a little bit suspicious.

This except from the night 1 scene seems to support Sully's claimed character being the killer in that scene.

I'm torn. I keep going back to this line from the scene:
strike wolf wrote:"Excuse me" He said drawing her attention as she jumped just a bit dropping her keys and turned around. It was a stupid reaction she had faced worse before. She thought the man looked vaguely familiar for a moment but shook off that thought. She hadn't met him before.

It caught my attention at the time, and after Sully's claim, it makes sense. Travis Bickle is also the definition of vigilante. I assumed fakeclaims would probably be same actor, different role, and that's what we saw from edoc's claim. Deniro has played plenty of bad guys, but none have been in movies with Foster. Maybe I'm reading too much into flavor; I don't know.

OTOH, he does seem a bit trigger-happy. He already killed the cop, and we don't know his N3 target. It's likely he got lucky with Rodion. He may be hurting us more than helping, so I wouldn't be completely opposed to a lynch. However, I think we should wait until later in the day, and try to get some more information first.

Indeed, it appears that Victor has killed more people than the mafia and the SK combined. The only person not to be killed by him is Conzocol. It does seem odd that in a game with a mafia, SK and a vig using his action every night that there have been so few deaths. Apparently we are flush with roleblockers, which might have something to do with it. If BGtB and Victor are correct, then there are at least 2 left in addition to the Jailkeeper killed night 2. After 3 nights, there have presumably been 8 kill attempts made. (Not counting any made by BGtB.) Three people have been killed, leaving 5 potential kills. Victor says he was blocked last night, so that takes it down to 4. Conzocol jailed Edocsil night 1, so one more accounted for, leaving three unknown. The mafia's night 1 kill, a kill from either the mafia or Edocsil night 2 (whichever did not kill Conzocol), and the mafia's night 3 kill.
Let us now analyze each of these in more detail.
The mafia's night 1 kill could have been prevented by any of the following means:
A save by the potential doc.
The presumed town roleblocker blocking the mafia killer.
Cross kill with Victor on Wild William.
Trying to kill Edocsil while he was jailed by Conzocol.
A bullet proof player.
The night 2 kill of unknown origin could have been stopped by:
A save by the potential doc.
The presumed town roleblocker blocking the mafia killer or Edocsil.
Conzocol jailing the mafia killer or Edocsil.
Targeting whomever Conzocol jailed.
Cross kill on either Rodion or Conzocol.
A bullet proof player. (Was Edocsil bullet proof?)
The mafia's night 3 kill could have been stopped by:
A save by the potential doc.
A bullet proof player.

Also throw the possibility of a busdriver into all of that.
Safariguy, did you use your bodyguard power on anyone night 1?
