Good question on whether or not he gets that photon pack back

so did i get told. so bg might be telling the truth here.
btw. if anyone cares. i tried to track rodion last night.

It might be true, because we don't know what the proton pack does. If it's some sort of night action like tracker or watcher or cop that one would expect a result (like you), then the mod has to PM you to say your action was blocked. If it was some sort of night action where you don't expect a result (busdriving, doctor protection) then most mods won't send any PM to say that you got blocked.
There's enough uncertainty with what the proton pack does that I don't think BG is necessarily lying. Edoc is still the number 1 case to me, and claiming a "mistake" doesn't really do it for me. It wasn't like we were minutes away from deadline, I think we had enough time to really look at the character in question. Was the claim vague? Yes it was, but not so much so that looking at the movie wouldn't have answered any possible questions.

Now it was safari that pointed out that i was a framer. This won't mean much as i'm probably looking a bit too deep but i'll add it anyway, but he could have pointed me out as one of his fellow mafia members role, so if a guilty did get lynched and come up innocent, the fos could be easily be pointed at me for the lynch as the thought that i could have been the possible framer has been placed in everyones mind already. Which can cause certian people to bandwagon easily and even try to start one up.
drunkmonkey wrote:Why did we have to lynch soundman yesterday? We got a claim out of him, so what was the harm in waiting a day to test it? I realize it was soundman or "no lynch", but at that point, I'll take "no lynch" over a reasonably valid claim. With the cop down already, I can't believe town would chance losing another investigative role without waiting to discuss/verify. However, mafia stood to gain a lot. They're now rid of 2 investigative roles, and know who has a 3rd one.

You don't get. Everyone was going to back down with the claim, it was fairly obvious. No offense but everyone is just playing follow the leader here, there are a few number of players directing a larger number of newer players. this allows huge gaps for the scum to hid in, and it is always possible that the ones doing the directing are scum.
Lets look at D1. The usual nothing happened.
D2. Attempting to press inactives. Exciting! Ooh shortly after we pressured someone for bandwagoning!
So if I had just shut up and let the day go by where would we be D3? We would be headed to no lynches and perusing ridiculous and trivial cases. In a way I am glad I am in the hotseat, its got people talking participating and thinking. Perhaps we will be able to get past my perceived misdeeds and get on to hanging scum. I will say this now, I am town and I intend to find and hang scum today. I do not intend to sit back and let another uneventful and wasted day go by.
Tracker is a hard one to investigate, there is lots of WIFOM involved and the chance of a busdriver ruins the whole process. It was better this way.
Okay, if we assume that either the proton pack was sort of investigative item, or that the mod informs people that they were roleblocked even when they aren't expecting results, then we are left with the question of how Bgthebrain and zimmah were both blocked last night. From my perspective I see the following possibilities.safariguy5 wrote:But I don't usually inform my players that they were roleblocked unless they expect a result from their night action (vote steal, cop investigation, flavor investigation). 1. There is a mafia roleblocker.
2. A busdriver or redirector was involved.
3. Sometimes the jailkeeper role doesn't simply keep it's target from dying, but actually blocks any other actions against that person.

Yes, jailkeepers always block the target, and prevent the target from being killed, but sometimes they also stop anyone else from targeting the target, such as with an investigation.jonty125 wrote:A jailkeeper always roleblocks and stops the target from dyingspiesr wrote:3.
