what's the reason for pressuring VS then?

also, i think lynching an inactive might be a good idea, as it's not really a great loss. however we also won't gain much information by doing that, so i am not sure if it's the best idea, but it's probably still better then a no-lynch, or is it?

i think he allready unvoted me, but until i know who to vote for i'll keep my vote for now. no point in unvoting because it's not like he'll be lynched overnight and even if that's the case we know who to look for. because super-speed lynches day 1 are super scummy.

ok... I'm back and have tried to read up on all that I have missed... Now I'm even more confused on who to vote for...lol. It seems almost pointless asking some one to claim since I expect everyone to claim Vanilla. That being said we have to look for hints from the stool pigeon who will obviously be under some severe post restrictions. I seem to be gathering at least one person hinting. I am still not feeling well and want to reread some of the posts... until then

I'd say pressuring JenBroness is a waste of time because he's more than likely going to get replaced. VS, on the other hand, I think will probably show up if we vote him. Voting in actives isn't the best idea, but yes it's better than having no-lynch.

No deadline has been set yet.

I still have the replacement sign up- in case any one else wants to replace. Until I can get a replacement, Jen stays in the game.

Normally it is best to lynch the inactives in my games, as I cannot always guarantee replacements.

Vote Count

hippo(4)- zimmah, eldario, chap, mob,

zimmah(4)- pancake, conozo, LSU, edoc

jenB (1)- hippo

With 21 alive, it takes 11 to lynch.

I hate mod-killing, and I strongly disagree with it in general. I will never mod-kill for inactivity. It unbalances the game. Inactives will either have to be replaced or lynched.

I only mod-kill for deliberate infractions of rules.

Ex. quoting role pm's, claiming or reciting information off-limits.

Thanks Vio ... so why not lynch Jen now and then see what's what after that! I have a feeling that Jen's lynching will help us immensely!

Because it is foolish. If a replacement can't be found the player should just be modkilled. If the balance is really that whacked by it that means the player is scum. Best case scenario is we go lynch the inactive and then the scum are down by a player. Ok good for town, sucky for scum, required absolutely no skill from the town. Worst case we go and lynch a townie and have utterly wasted a day and given the scum a free shot at killing townies during the night. If we leave an inactive and its a townie its just that much harder to get a lynch. There is no winning move here, but modkilling is the best route IMO if replacements cannot be found, as a modkill can be balanced. Modkill the town cop? Great give the investigation powers to a VT. Kill a scum goonie? Give another mafia member a one shot bulletproof. Lynching just sucks for everyone, but a NK can be an acceptable answer. However, NKs are unavailable to us this game.

I agree 100%. If the concensus is for us to put the pressure on Hippo since he has definitely acted scummy today, I'm fine with that although I'm more supportive of a zimmah or others lynch. Unvote

There you go ... try and be helpful and it gets slapped in your face.

Not sure why you think I'm scummy. IMO Zimmah was being scummy and you lot are happy with his answers so I simply backed off. Zimmah says so what now find something else to do. So I point out there are inactives (plural). Soomehow that's supposed to be scummy? Come on! Ok so you lot love Zimmah and you love Jen ... nice!

One last attempt at being rational, ... Victor Sullivan is also being silent. What excuse do you have for not putting pressure on him?

Alright, let's take a step back here. No need for anyone to get flustered.

I think edoc summed up why it's favorable to replace an inactive as opposed to lynching them quite well. As far as Victor goes, he gets quiet from time to time. I'm sure he'll show up eventually but pressuring him a little might not be a bad idea.

oh I just voted you to join the biggest bandwagon. I'm scum :D

No, seriously.

First of all, you vote zimmah without a reason. Usually when you serious vote you have to give a logical explanation.

Then when you start getting attention you unvote zimmah and try to shift attention to the inactives (who should start posting soon :-s ), and then when no one wants to follow you now you go and shift attention to VS. This seems scummy to me.

In light of you being new, I can see how you would get confused and be trying to point out everyone that needs chased.
But you could also be scum trying to lead townies in a false lynch. Therefore, my vote stays.

But keep trying tho, you'll eventually get it :)

inactives will make it harder to get a lynch because the inactives do count as 'alive'. so if 30% of the players is inactive, a lynch with the remaining 70% will be much harder. that's why lynching inactives before they become a problem is a viable idea.

on top of that are inactives sometimes just mafia that's scared of posting because they might actually accidently make a wrong post or make a post that might get someone's attention.

Almost SG ... only I voted Zimmah on a suspicion that I later substantiated ... I then gave up on Zimmah because I accepted his post (as it seems did the rest of you) ... I suggested the inactives because that's logical ... but you all love Jen so I thought fine we'll lynch Jen tomorrow ... so that leaves us with VS who I suggested ages ago as an inactive ... who remains an inactive ... so apart from confusing the issue, what are you adding here? C'mon people let's try and be a little more on to it now, eh?

This makes sense only if you prod them and they respond. If you prod them and then they say nothing and get replaced, that just seems to me like they have a crap vanilla role.

Not to mention if you lynch a non acitve and they are vanilla, you lose 2 town roles (1 at night) and start d2 down 2. Seems odd to me.

vote victor sullivan for the same reasons as above. In actives will make lynching scum very difficult in the later stages.

We seem to be concentrating on 2 inactives but there are more. Any chance of some kind of mass-prod please mod?
