It was brought to my attention about this guy doing this so I checked it out and it looks pretty cut and dry but I will let you guys check it out for yourself. Also It it is funny that 3 of the 4 games so far 3 players have missed all three turn to leave two of them playing the game

Eh, I dunno if he is going to be punished. A majority of his games are team games and games against same ranks. For it to be farming, a majority of your games have to be farming.

I would like to state a few things for the record:
1. I LOVE poison rome. It is an awesome map and it works best with 5 people
2. I LOVE meeting new people. I really liked the guys that friended me when I was a ? rank. I play with 5 to meet new players.
3. I am NOT inviting these guys. They are joining on their own free will. If I were to send these out as invites, I would have a TON of empty games with invites out there.
4. Of the maps posted here are the ones where I have won, newly formed, or down to me and 1 other player. NOT ALL of the 5 player poison rome games are listed. If I were farming, I would have a ton of wins in one map especially. I have lost a lot of Poison Rome and to some lower ranked players, who earned my respect.
5. If I win, I earn maybe 30 points. If I lose, I lose in the high 30s. I have won about 60% and lost about 40% of these Posion Rome games. I have barely pulled out any points from this map.
6. As stated in my defense, I also play a TON of other maps. This map is my favorite map and I like it a lot.
7. As far as farming, I know it to not be right and I enjoy CC too much to threaten my membership or threaten the fun that I have in playing the games, chatting online about dorkdom with gamers, and meeting new people of likeminds.

I do not control who enters the game. I create the game and allow free access to whoever would like to join.

Also, I reviewed the alligation that I invited these guys. If you invite ? guys, they almost never respond.

As far as the other ranked players that I play, I do not know any of these players. Check the games played and I have played with none of these guys, save for one or two players. If I was inviting high ranked players to farm, wouldn't I be inviting guys I knew would play and help me rank up?

what the hell. poison rome is a specialist board in the same lines as waterloo. why is this board not on new recruits banned list.

The same thing has happened to me. The first time I ever played this map, I think (can't quite remember) was with Raston in a team doubles with 6 players...maybe 8? We had some good players and some worse players.

He made me love the map, and I've played it on various settings. I've got one now, too, with 5 players, flat-rate, and unlimited (sunny). How was I going to know 4 "?" joined? I've played the map on these settings more than once: sometimes ? join, sometimes not; sometimes a mix. It's up for grabs. It sits there, sometimes for a week with no one joining—sometimes people join within 12 hours only to take all their turns, sometimes 1/2 their turns, sometimes none of their turns.

You make a game, hope for fun, and go with the flow. Pretty sure Raston has played this map these settings, and other maps these settings, and just plain enjoys it. I know I do.

Accusations are pretty easy to make. The proof...doesn't look like its there. Wouldn't farming be more of HIM joining THEIR games and trouncing them? How can he be punished for THEM joining HIS games?

Agreed with this. New recruits probably shouldn't be allowed to play that map.

This would be the case if he INVITED them. Apparently, he doesn't, which is odd, since Poison Rome shouldn't be open to "?"

Well, most complex maps (Waterloo, Stalingrad, Battle for Iraq etc.) are banned from "?" who have played less than 5 games so as not to discourage them from playing in the site. I for one believe that Poison Rome is one of the most complex maps on the site and should be placed in that category where "?" can't play it until they finish 5 games.

Therefore, if you invite "?" to games that they can't normally join, then that's farming. It's not technically farming to have games that a bunch of "?" joins, BUT you will be asked to change your map/settings.

That a bit more clear?

I am with raston on this The map I prefer isn't on the ? ban list but they join and it doesn't matter the map setting I first changed it to fog they still joined,now I have adjusted to terminator and assassin to make them think twice, and I hate assassin. As I suggested earlier how about making it to where the ? cant play anyone but corporals and below,and no one above corporal can play them. that way no farming intentional or otherwise,everyone's happy. and if you reach corporal you can play anyone you like. It would give them a chance to learn before they got into games over their heads and could play any maps they want that way

When I was a ? I joined a lot of games with high ranked guys. I skipped Cook all together because I took so many points of these guys. I earned quick respect and made some friends I still have to this day. I made my way into officer rank quickly and it was by beating high ranked players. I remember that and try to pay back out the favor and encourage along good low ranking players. This is a chat/ play site. Can't we all just get along

Raston you are the exception to the usual rule most players stay at cook for a long time or drop back because of their playing skill, I just made a suggestion in the forum I believe will help all concerned. Would appreciate some support on it if you think its good or suggest a different way of going about it. 8-)

I don't think it's that hard to avoid cook. I was never a cook. You don't start off being a cook. You have to lose 200 points before you're a cook. Which is pretty hard to do when almost everyone is ranked above you already.

Anyway, I agree with these guys. Farming is bad, but you should be able to play games and settings that you like.

Poison rome is one of the easiest damned maps on this site... you literally can't move without running into a bonus...
