Doubles has so far been my favorite game type here on CC, so I've decided to create a tournament series dedicated to producing some fun 2v2 action.
Setup This will be a 16 team (32 player) doubles single elimination bracket tournament. Seeding for the bracket will be determined by random.org. Each team must pick a "home" map when they sign up (you do not however get to pick your own settings). You will play 2 games against your opponent, one on each team's home map. If one team wins both games, then that team will advance to the next round. If however the 2 games end in a draw between the two teams, then you will play another two games against each other (again, one game on each team's home map) and will continue to do so until either one team wins both games or you've played to a draw 3 times in a row. If the latter occurs, then you will play a single game against each other on the Classic map to determine the winner. The settings for all games will be as described below, so keep this in mind when choosing your home map. You may pick any map as your home map, including beta maps and maps that other teams have already picked.
Edit: You may change your home map location between rounds if you wish, simply pm me with your new home map choice right after you have won the round if you would like to switch.

Notes One member from each team must post to this forum with the name of their teammate and the name of their home map, no PM's or wall posts please. Freemiums are welcome but must have at least 2 slots open at all times. You must join your games within 48 hours or you will either be replaced with a reserve team for round 1 or the other team will advance if this occurs in the later rounds. However, if you PM me to let me know ahead of time that you will not be available to join your games right away, I will be more flexible on this rule.
I just thought to add this option for the teams in the tournament: You may change your home map location between rounds if you wish, simply pm me with your new home map choice right after you have won the round if you would like to switch.
