Looks good :)

One question: are the 2 added sea routes going to be neutral or start open to deployment? I'd recommend starting them open for deployment, that way 1v1 games would have better starts. But the choice is yours.

One other small thing in your first post: delete the entry for starting regions for 3 players. It's the same as the entry for 2 players, so just say, "2 or 3 players..." for the 2 player entry.

when the neutral fields are drawn there 55 back, I had figured it out that it can only be done in this way, I have not tried to calculate out a gameplay distribution before so I reckon it just have to go up as best it can with what you have left
Players 2=18 areas + 19 random neutral areas =55
Players 3=14 areas + 13 random neutral areas =55

then it would be P2=18 + 19 Neu. P3=18 + 1 Neu ?

it was meant to start with 1 neutral, how much it means I do not know ;)

2 and 3 player games start the same. In a 2 player game a third opponent is deployed (as neutral). This does not happen in 3 or more player games.
2 or 3 players would be 18 starts is the 2 extra territs are neutral. 6 starting troops each.

2 player games have a problem. With 6 starting troops, the player who goes first only has to take one so the second player starts with 5. Open your two new territs to open deployment and you get 19 territs each (6 start) and P1 needs to take 2 for advantage.

I think I'm fairly with, but sometimes I have to get it cut out in cardboard  (sorry), could I get you or someone else to edit the gameplay text? please 8-)
and of course with that in mind, about the two sea areas included in the listings so it is best for the game.

Players 2=18 areas + 19 random neutral areas +5 neutral areas (cities with shields) +2 neutral areas (sea rute, Djursland-Kalundborg, MĆøn-KĆøbenhavn)
Players 3=14 areas + 13 random neutral areas +5 neutral areas (cities with shields) +2 neutral areas (sea rute, Djursland-Kalundborg, MĆøn-KĆøbenhavn)
Players 4=13 areas + 3 random neutral areas +5 neutral areas (cities with shields) +2 neutral areas (sea rute, Djursland-Kalundborg, MĆøn-KĆøbenhavn)
Players 5=11 areas +5 neutral areas (cities with shields) +2 neutral areas (sea rute, Djursland-Kalundborg, MĆøn-KĆøbenhavn)
Players 6=9 areas + 1 random neutral areas +5 neutral areas (cities with shields) +2 neutral areas (sea rute, Djursland-Kalundborg, MĆøn-KĆøbenhavn)
Players 7=7 areas + 6 random neutral areas +5 neutral areas (cities with shields) +2 neutral areas (sea rute, Djursland-Kalundborg, MĆøn-KĆøbenhavn)
Players 8=6 areas + 7 random neutral areas +5 neutral areas (cities with shields) +2 neutral areas (sea rute, Djursland-Kalundborg, MĆøn-KĆøbenhavn)

You don't want to have a 2-player drop that gives you 18 starting terits each. That would be too unbalanced. You want to make it 17 or 19 or 20. I think.

Flapcake, you are going to have to open up the 2 neutral territs for better game play.

This is done with those included, so an open drop of 57.

2 player - 19 territs each - drop of 6
3 players - 19 territs each - drop of 6
4 players - 14 territs each - drop of 4
5 players - 11 territs each - drop of 3
6 players - 9 territs each - drop of 3
7 players - 8 territs each - drop of 3
8 players - 7 territs each - drop of 3

Either open up those two as I said above or place extra neutrals into the map. Remember, these will always be neutral, no matter what the game. If you do that then the above numbers will need to be revised.

No need to mention the neutrals unless you have them start neutral always like you 5 capitals.

There's no way to program "random neutrals" in the map, you can only set fixed neutral territories.

Denmark v30 [02 Okt 2011]

Changes, It's probably not to see at first glance, some places there was a tedens to pixels clumped together, which is corrected / straightened out, discoloration is eliminated, some elements are moved slightly so they fit better. we are in the category of small details :D

Edit: small map attached :D

Some graphical problems for you to solve now that gameplay is out of the way (sort off).
Your icons for he cities look out of focus on both large and small. Can you clean them up?
Your names look to be different sizes (Svendborg / Vest lolland). Please check all are the same.
Did you copy and paste the text after shrinking it or did you redo it all?
Vest Lolland and Ost Lolland seem to have different spacing between words.
Places where the names go over the territory borders into the sea - some have the black line removed, some do not, please make it all the same.
That should be enough for now. Great work.

Hi flapcake,

This map has come along way since its infancy. You are doing a wonderful job, but there is still a bit of work to do I feel.

For a start, the queen. She ain't doing it for me. The detail of that picture simply doesn't work for the simplistic nature of this map. I feel she has to go. The flag isn't quiet right either. I think in general the title space could use a rework, it looks a little slap dash compared to everything else.

I also don't think your impassable trees fit your map. For me they look a bit like molded play-dough. Again something that doesn't really fit the the aesthetically simplicity of the map.

Those are my two main concerns at the moment, ill come back to nit pick at a later date. Once the map ha less major concerns.

Keep up the good work mate.

Cheers,
gimil

Hi Gimil
Thanks for your comment.
Around the trees, I can follow you, I've tried to work a bit on them with all sorts of tricks, I think it must be something more radical to get it to work.

The Queen has been discussed before, some are for and like her, and others do not, opinions being divided there, it may be a matter of taste, I do not know, I like her, and the expression it gives, perhaps because Iam Dane and it gives a different meaning for me.

I agree with gimil on the queen, the photographic nature of her isn't the best, and sorta clashes with the rest of the overall style of the map. Neither of us are saying the queen can't be a part of the map, just needs a bit of creativeness thrown her way to be added within the style of your map.

With the trees is there a native Danish tree that more fits the overall theme?

Keep up the good work Flap, you're well on your way. :)

Would the most common tree be a fir tree like the ones we use at Christmas?
With the queen, less detail would fit better if you want to keep her.
With the flag, I always wanted to see this go across the map. So start it behind the queen, have it go behind the map and then have the top half go behind the mini map so only the bottom point is seen going out the right side. More like a medevil banner than a flag.

Hi Baron, thanks for your comment.

Well maby I can down tone the details in the queens outfit some, that migth help. About the trees, the danish national are beech tree and second is pine tree. My trees was suppose to be beech tree  but maby pine tree will fit it better, give it more a nordic touch.

Hi Koontz, About the flag, Im not sure if it will look nice, the map migth be to heavy at the top, Il have to try it out first. ;)
