isaiah40 wrote:YES! Now the cannon and dock fit in IMO. One thing, the text on the sail cloth, what happened to it? It is just a tad unreadable now. Anyhow, I think it is a minor detail so let's get this done.

Congratulations cairnswk! =D> =D>

Thanks isaiah40.
things fixed:
1. flags tidied
2. barrels have identity markings of Rum and Water
3. Cannon have notches and holding knobs on them
4. title text attended to, i think it became unreadable because it has a curved path, but i've tried to fix it. i don't know if the "Gret loss..." text needs to be curved also.
Large map to come later

Seems like you are making some good progress, and his name was spelled N-A-P-O-L-E-O-N not L-E-A-N.

That should be fixed now in both small and large and the neutrals maps, but not the centering maps. :)

maybe I'm nipticking
but I feel the going up from bombardemnet legend is not necessary and a bit confusing
as you put rope around legends not bg drawings
I say this because your title is supposed to be on the sail of the ship
so I would remove the border rope and maybe add some sail texture behind the title
maybe
De gueules à la tour d'argent ouverte, crénelée de trois pièces, sommée d'un donjon ajouré, crénelé de deux pièces
Gules an open tower silver, crenellated three parts, topped by a apertured turret, crenellated two parts

thanks pamoa for your comments...
yes i think you are nitpicking.
yes the rope encompases the legend part, but since i can't throw rope around the ship as this would be too much, half-way round the border is the compromise.
I like it like this, it has been this way for a hell of a long time now, and up until, you are the onloy one who is raising the issue.
If you look at the arrangement of the sail it is there to hold the title etc., Yes i had thought about putting some wind through it, but that would create too many probs with the lettering sitting thereupon.
So i'm pretty happy to keep things as they are. :)
and i don't really think it is confusing.
But i will try to add some texture to the sail for you.

Gladly though, your nitpicking has lead me to a mjaor adjustment to the gaff sail and gaf sail boom. That is the actual boom (piece of wood) that is sticking out prominently above the ship, and the gaff sail (where the title is) should be attached to it.
So new image shortly... :)

Here is the adjustments to the gaff sail boom and thus the title area.
The gaff sail is divided into sections as it should be and there is a very slight subtle texture to it

much better it gives a frame to the title
and sets it apart of the game area
maybe adding some drop shadow
conclusion nitpicker may be useful
when not exaggerating ...

try moving "THE NATIONS INVOLVED" 1-2 px lower because right now it looks like it's outside the contour of the ship
