he other tunnels look twisty and turny, 4 is the only like that.

I think he just means the upper right corner of that segment...shouldnt be hard to fix...

-lake looks much better
-entrance looks much better
-legend looks much better

all great improvements...

changes

1. tunnel 4 is more jagged, well the whole tunnel is more jagged
2 defenders shield on gate 1 instead of attackers'
3 moat water is slightly different

im starting to make random changes on this map because im bored, whats the hold up....

I have not followed this thread much but as a person who is just looking at the map for the first time I find the legend a bit confusing. Isn't it a bit complicated for new players to understand?

For tunnel 4, I didn't mean make it jagged, I meant round ouff the corners (make them curves not right angles), cause in a real tunnel, you woudn't go out of your way to make a perfect right angle, unless it was absolutely neccasry (like you would hit molten rock if you rounded it off).

no hurry then, I'll just find some other ways to keep me occupied until you or Andy drag it up from page 6 while doing some spring cleaning on the development atlas

It's confusing Hulmey. Can't some of those continents be grouped together or something?

I don't think it's complicated. I do wish he'd post a picture without the army numbers in though.

ok several things
-need to specify that the walls are either "outer" or "inner" wall-- i would suggest just making the territories named "wall 1, wall 2, wall 3, wall 4, wall 5, wall 6" on the map and xml, instead of "inner wall 1, 2, 3; outer wall 1, 2, 3" because it seems there arent different bonuses for the individual walls. only one bonus for the walls if you also own the throne.

-the tunnel has to be worth at least 3- its got 3 borders and 7 territories.

-make clear what borders are impassable (can you attack from great hall 2 to inner wall 2?)

-make the border between woodland camp 1 and 2 more clear

-this map is going to be murder to make into a small version- all the textures and complicated directions
Do you need an excuse to have a war? I mean, who for? Can't you just say "You got lots of cash and land, but I've got a big sword, so divy up right now, chop chop."

Great work!
The legend is big but simple to understand imo.
Dunno if it's been adressed already, but at the first look a detail struck me : the tent in the river camp. I got the impression that it was a parasol with a bit of towel showing
Maybe a change of colour would make it look a bit more martial?

war tents had brightcolours. the tent mibi usedis very accurate. no need to change.

again with the time issue. wht's up with this less than a mont thing?

let's assume somebody works on a map and posts a PERFECT map and nobody has any suggestions to improve it because it is PERFECT. normally that map should be quenched within the next few days. why wait?

i'm not saying this map is perfect or complete but my guess is it's ready for final forge and with a few minor changes it could be up for playin the next couple of weeks. mibi did a great job.
if we wait 2-3 more months intrest on this map will die and it will slowly fall a few pages because people won't have anything to add.

I'm not saying mibi has to wait months, just give people more time to comment. You don't have to update your map every day. Try working on the small version, I'm sure that's likely to stir up more feedback. If you really are that bored and restless and have nothing else to do, work on a new map and make it as perfect as you can and then post it. Maybe we'll see a new record from initial post to quench!

i don't want to work on a new map until i'm finished with this one (either quenched or abbandoned). but this is not about my map it's about mibi's.

why isn't it ready for final forge? in my opinion when people ask for a map to be final forged i think an official (you or andy) should come and say it is indeed ready or say the reasons why it isn't.
or at least say: "let's wait one more week and if no major issues appear it's going to the final forge"
it's about communication. most people are satisfied with the current state of this map, mibi has no new suggestions so the map is likely to stall at the moment. the whole founfdry is in need of more official feedback

not until the big map is all set. I dont want to have to move things around on two maps, its redundant.

why complain about the lack of comments for the large map then? I think we need to see the small map before you can progress.

the lack of comments is something I've never complained about. I've implemented 90% of the comments in this thread. It seems that when the comments get more minute and trivial, an official response is what's needed. Sometimes the mods should do more than lurk and let the "foundry process" happen, after all, arn't they an integral part of that process.
