I think pansy should be acceptable because in this game, which involves attacking, it is sometimes useful to be able to describe someone as a coward based on their observed behavior.

In a widely spoken dialect of English (North American), the word carries this definition first and foremost. Homosexual connotations can be ignored if the player's behavior matches the definition of pansy as cowardly.

The context of "faggot" in the game was clear. He meant it as a slur. "Pansy" is not a slur and this case was adjudicated correctly.
