Classic (but link between South America and Australia?)

Postby quogue on Tue Jun 21, 2011 3:44 pm

Hi

I am new around here. I've sometimes thought while playing Classic Risk that perhaps there ought to be a version where South America and Australia have a link. Then every continent has to face three routes of attack. Australia seems to get off easy.

Probably this "Tampered" Classic has been thought about already and discarded, for more balanced world maps?

Best regards

would be nice, but then they should also have a bonus of 3 like africa, however that might make them overpowered unless they also have 5/6 regions like africa. (because holding both australia and south america would be relativly easy and give you a +6 bonus.

might be better to make a complete new map altogether but there are allready several classic like maps.

i think he's talking about the extended version of the classic map risk that has a few extra connections:

I would not mind playing on that map. A bit of work and it could sit nicely beside the classic map and World 2.1.

I didn't know there was such a thing as an extended map. It looks cool. I can't say how balanced the game would be compared to the classic map. I have played one of the World maps with Antartica, and numerous countries. It seems quite fair and fun to play.

Anyways, thank you for the answer!
