I usually 1-star people who complain about dice or cards.
And you think this is fair rating? I can understand if you 1-star someone in the Attitude category (although even here it is too harsh - if you give 1 star to someone who said he had bad dice/cards, what would you give to people who start swearing and calling others names?), but how is complaining about dice/cards relevant to Fair Play or Gameplay rating?
From the Instructions tab:
Rating Attributes
Fair Play: Covers suiciding, secret alliance suspicion, breaking or respecting alliances,
chivalry, etc...
Gameplay: Measures the player's ability to
play an enjoyable game (not the player's ability to win). Covers strategy, diplomacy, teamwork, etc...
Attitude: Covers behaviour in chat, foul language, sore losers, gracious winners, "great chatters!",
whining about luck, etc...
In my opinion, all three of the bolded can relate to crying about dice and cards. It is the height of arrogance to state to someone who you don't know that they are winning because of luck instead of skill, and I have no idea how someone can think they can do that and retain some modicum of chivalry. It is also not really an enjoyable game (for me) when someone cries because then I have to call them out as a whining noob and will probably get more of their tears all over chat.
If you don't know someone, don't cry about dice or cards because there's no excuse for it. Just get your big boy pants, take your loss, and move on, preferably learning why you lost (hint: it was your own lack of skill, not the dice or the cards). Otherwise I will 1-star you every time for being a pansy noob who not only can't take a loss but also refuses to learn from their mistakes and presume that they only lose when luck is against them.
I am not offended by profanity and would not alter my rating because of it (unless it was discriminatory then I would report and 1-star in Attitude)
