thanks evil,

this is what people are saying like benga we are not acting on the fact it was cleared or you noted it. it is the fact it is a valued tactic for this style of tourney and needs to be allowed. curently you could say there are loads of these types of tourneys and all this has done is opened the gates for a lot more of this type of report. giving the tourney organisers a lot more work stopping somthing they actually agree is a proper move for this style of game.

So all you who jumped to conclusions from Night Strike bashing his head against a wall to benga and eddie you guys are done throwing you temper tantrums you can start flooding the forum with your reports.

Whoa! Title was posted as cleared and then you came back with the NOTED post. Please forgive us ES. Your mis-type surprised and confused us. O:)

I understand that and was surprised no one asked for me to clarify it.

This was us asking for clarification! The Pack of hyena's way. :)

I'm going to expect a site update in the rules then for exceptions like this, especially since it appears this happens all the time. Looking at you bananaman. ;)

Why does every little nuance has to be spelled out somewhere? First off, the rules say "throwing games", which is plural, not singular. Furthermore, that section talks about situations that are a "gross abuse of the game", however, trying to win a tournament is not a gross abuse of the game as the player is trying to win the bigger game which is the tournament.

Yes 1 game, however if it happens all the time then you should update. So if you throw 2 games and still win a tournament, then that is not ok? Let's draw the line and give examples, not a hard thing to do. I'm sitting an account and I'll likely have to deadbeat out of 2 games. Is that serial deadbeating since it is more than one game? I should not have to interpret a rule when clarification via precedent is easy to do.

Examples can't be given for every scenario, which is why they have to be looked at individually. However, if the person is helping himself win a tournament, then that should be allowed. If a person is throwing games to help someone else win a tournament, then that should not be allowed. It's pretty cut and dry.

Agreed on that however, I'm only counting a few scenarios being:

Throwing to win (seems allowed) and apparently frequently done
Throwing for others (not allowed)
Throwing as per agreed upon (seems allowed for build games, tie-breakers) frequency unknown

do you have more examples of allowed ways to throw a game?

You seem to be so rigid.

You can spot from a far any given situation that occurs.

If someone is going for win I can't call that throwing the game!

Like any time I was killed just because the rules of the tournament were set so.
(like the 1st to be killed is out)
I never felt I was cheated in any way (ok was pissed), but you expect tough
competition and everyone trying to do the best they can to win.

And something I did myself, in terminator tournament,
where I was in no position to make anymore kills so
every round attacked the only one that was in position to
win the tournament instead of me and by doing that
helped me win.

At the end he congratulated me for good job I have done.

So at the end you have two different things:
A- somebody going for the win
B- someone throwing the game

And that's the big difference!

lol i got a situation this could be classed under.

ok someone hits you but fail to eliminate. in response you hit him back and carry on doing so . this means you are throwing the game. there have been several cases like this where the response has been foe and move on. no note or warning for it. so this should come under that term as well.

Fair enough - happens to all of us. And good to see - it's always clear why you're such a respected part of TeamCC...so many of the others have difficulty admitting when they make a mistake.
