If that's the case, that seriously changes the dynamics of this style of tournament.

You say that he placed and attacked all your stacks, but if you are going to try to eliminate someone wouldn't you place to take out their stacks? How many armies did you have left after he finished his turn? Regretfully the log doesn't give us that information. You had about ten countries left, did they all have 1's on them?
Was it at that point of the game where brandoncfi decided it was time to poop or get off pot. With the play order it worked out in brandoncfi's favor, if he falls short of eliminating murphy then magiiiiic might have a shot.
[quote=murphy16"]This here is what was said in the game chat to show that the accused threw the game.brandoncfi wrote:2011-02-19 13:09:22 - brandoncfi: Win win blue you win the game I win the tourney
brandoncfi fell short and he want magiiiiic to take a shot and he want to prod him.
If I thought that brandoncfi didn't have a chance to win the game I could agree with this report, but like I said I have not been convinced.
Brandoncfi is CLEARED.

Being that this is a tournament competition, I understand where the player is coming from. In order to avoid a possible tie break, all he needed to do is just prevent that other player from winning that game. The complainant also has a point, it would be unfair for him since not all players would be trying to win the game, just two others trying to win and brandoncfi trying to prevent him from winning. Throwing a game is still throwing a game even if it was for losing less points, winning a tournament, a clan challenge, getting back at someone, etc. This shall be noted. We do not want to encourage game throwing even if it means winning a tournament for you. Your competitiveness to win must always be present in every game. Let's lessen the politics as much as possible. If your not playing to win, let's not contribute in despoiling or in breaking the integrity of the game.
Perhaps the tournament directors/organizers can come up with possible resolutions for scenarios like this to discourage game throwing or any other acts that violates any rules.

was not supposed to be there. When I write something it usually takes me several times to try to get it right and I missed that when I was proof reading before I posted.Evil Semp wrote:This shall be noted

Evil Semp wrote:I really don't understand why no one noticed that the report was CLEARED in the thread title and everyone jumped on the noted part. Not one of you mentioned that was two different decisions on one report.
So all you who jumped to conclusions from Night Strike bashing his head against a wall to benga and eddie you guys are done throwing you temper tantrums you can start flooding the forum with your reports.
