Clan Organiser Medals

sorry if this was mentioned in the clan medals thread, but will there eventually be medals for organising a challange, like it is for tournaments?

I hope not. That would be a lot of medals, and no way to really track them. Keep in mind that preparing for a challenge is (or should be) a group effort.

The next clan related medal is unlikely to be an organizer medal.

wouldn't one of these encourage everyone to start their own clan so they may qualify ?

I think he means organizer medals for the person who organizers the war and keeps it on track etc.

Many clans are founded by more than just one person.

but if the clan leaders organise and run the war then the only way you can get one is if you leave and start your own.

right now anyone who wants a tournament organisers medal can run a tournament, not so for a clan organisers medal. the clan leader(s) would decide who gets one, if it isn't going to be them

Nope, it's just going to be the one who organizes the wars. This will probably be those people with clan privies. i.e. Just look at the clan league privies, a lot of them aren't clan leaders. It similarly applies for different people in a clan sometimes running a war...

fair enough

but once medals are accrued for that activity those who are interested in medals will need to position themselves for a clan war organisors medal and the easiest way to do that is to control the clan

I think you just want more medals :D. I've seen better suggestions for medals and this one is so narrow that I doubt it will be implemented in near future. Or at all.

Could simply give those organising a clan war the same medal as organising a tournament. Simple case of changing the wording of that medal to say running a seuccessfull tournament OR clan war :)

The workload is quite similar, and I'd say a 60game clan war is FAR more work for the "TO" than a 16 player single elimination 1v1 tournament.

Agreed, although my argument is that organizing a 16 1v1 does not deserve a medal. The TD group has altered the min size, however, all Tournaments get an organizer medal. I stil think some should not. Just my opinion.

I would concur. Though I think if you change the reg's for TO medal, they should be changed for winners medal as well. ei if minimum players for TO medal is changed to 32, then that should also be requirement for winners medal. Though, 16 player tournaments could perhaps continue to be allowed for those that wish to organise and play them for fun, if there is much interest for such non-medal exertions ;)

Have to agree with that 16 player 1v1 tourneys are a piece of cake to organize. I definitely think that it takes more work to organize a clan war, but it's also an effort of multiple people in multiple clans, so I'm not sure that a medal should be given there.
