well the problem isn't that it isn't called Antarctica but the word "Arctic" Specifically refers to the North poll. I think it's Latin root literally means "Of the North".
That being said I think calling it Antarctica would work fine especially since it calls attention to the fact that Antarctica was once an inhabitable climate (which I think is pretty neat)

Instead there could be giant fissures/cracks in the earth between regions (as in evidence of the split between countries coming)
this could only make sense between regions and so ill have to move some blockages around.
Let me know if you think I should change or if trees are fine. If I do change this it might mean changing bridges/boats etc to make the whole map realistic
