updated version:

I've tested a lot of fonts but ended up using the first one in a larger size. Had to rearrange things a bit, but I think it's all working fine :)

I am looking at this on my 17 inch screen running True Color 1280 x 1024, and this text is quite acceptable.

Can the Foundry mods please take a look at Kab's latest work?

This map has been idling around for long enough, when everyone has conceded it's ready - any minor requests have been duly met.

I am keen to see how it plays out to check how the gameplay actually stacks up in any setting.

Ok, after looking at the map it seems that it is pretty ready to go, maybe I would like to see something else used instead of a ugly | to separate the sentences in the final part of the nobles legend and i was wondering why you have decided to write twice about the king that reverts to 10 neutral.
A final question, is there still a regular territory bonus?

Sticky! :)
Anyone has other suggestions/concerns before moving this map to the final forge?

Changed the '|' sign - it looks better now :)

..as for the 'King - reverts to neutral' legend, I had the free space on the notes board in the large map, so I figured that couldn't come no harm from having that extra warning. I can remove it though if you guys prefer.

What precisely does the "1 army each" mean with regard to the Noble family members? One deployable troop for each Noble family member held? One auto-deploy to each?

Auto-deploy is always referred to as... auto-deploy in the legend.

+1 per noble - 1 army each surely would not get read as autodeploy?

Any suggestions for better wording ?

That's how I always do. When it's autodeploy - I will say so accordingly in the legend.

No i think it's good as it is if you don't need that space for something else.

Agree,it is common knowledge, a sort of unwritten rule ;)

Ok in that case that is everything done - can this be moved so I can do the XML?

I will probably complete it regardless. Hopefully this won't stay so long in Final Forge.

You can start/complete the xml if you want. :)

We made a call for the Map Surveyor Usergroup.
Let me see if someone has further suggestions or comments, otherwise I'll be happy to move this map.
Be patient chipv ;)

Lol, just a quick thought for me without perusing the other pages. Is it intentional that this looks a bit like Clandemonium? (sorry, thats just what the colour scheme etc looks like to me? Obviously I can see that Kab made it, so I assume it's ok.
Ah wait, my bad
I’ve been thinking over the past few weeks about making a board game style map that would condensate some map concepts – Feudal, Waterloo, Poland and Clandemonium
Lol, didn't even read, I'll try to look at this more closely then. Did Kab also do the graphics for Hive, thats just what the hexagons remind me of. Was there a specific reason for them, instead of maybe some other shapes?

:) Hexagons are commonly used on board (and strategy) games

Also hexagons are a natural shape, they can be arranged in a consistent pattern. You can't say the same about pentagons or septagons for example.

The even-numbered sides polygons plus the triangle are the golden ones ;)

I had a quick PM exchange with Kabanellas because I noticed some crazy pixels in the signature, but it's just a small thing. Moreover Kab has assured that he will fix it tomorrow as soon as he will be able to get his hands on the map file.

We are getting a bit off-topic here, but the only regular polygons which can fill the (Euclidean) plane are triangles, squares and hexagons. You can do it in a semi-reqular fashion with other combinations. Check out "Tesselation" and "Tiling by regular polygons" in Wikipedia. (Some of those semi-regular layouts do suggest interesting ideas for game board (map) layouts.)
