If your map comes out from the melting pot it means that you have accomplished something really important, stamp or not.
I always think that the melting pot is the most important point of the whole process, because it separates the "to do" from the rest.
Moreover,the draft stamp was/is related too much with a sort of
list that is no more applicable within the current mapmaking process...the first modeling phase of the map is more based on a good idea and in finding the right way to turn it into a CC map, than a simple check list and a bunch of friends.
