This has happened to me as well and I'm sad to say that it is forever FUBAR'd in the Windows user account that you're using it in. The only work around that I've found for this problem was to create another Windows user and install a fresh GreaseMonkey, BOB, and Clickable Maps into Firefox on the new user.

Hmm, maybe I can come up with a better alternative. But it will be a bit complicated.

I have HUD on, and love it, but dislike all the text running up into my map when I'm hoooovering over something like L5 Pitomnik Luftwaffe (any territory that attacks a bunch of different territories):

Image

is there anyway to disable that text on HUD? I don't need my options repeated there, I can just go on the map n look if I wanna know what attacks what..

Disable Map Inspect under View Options on the left. That'll fix that problem.

well.. I'd still like to inspect the map... as I said in my post. I'd just like to inspect on the map itself.

no other options?

So you want to see the icons on the map, but not the text of all those borders and bombardments?

Agreed.

It's something I've always hated about the Waterloo map.

So, if I may be so bold to suggest a design change: change the Map Inspect option from On/Off to On/Icons Only/Off, then suppress (most of) the text as directed. (I say "most of the text", because it would likely still be a good idea for the name of the territory being inspected to appear as confirmation of what you are pointing at, especially in maps with densely packed troop numbers.) I can almost figure out the changes to the script, but I don't yet understand how it all hangs together, and I don't want to break my copy of BOB experimenting.

Bob doesn't even show for me anymore.

I have it installed, but it's not showing up. I have uninstalled and re-installed.

-=- Tanarri -=- wrote:I've been having issues with BOB's territory counts during fog games since the 5.1.0 upgrade. BOB will regularly show an incorrect calculated number of territories. This doesn't happen all of the time, but it is a frequent issue. If I reload the entire page, it fixes the count so that it reads properly. Refreshing the map does not fix the problem.

I'm currently using 5.1.1, but I don't expect that the problem has been fixed in 5.1.2 since it's not listed as being fixed.

Is anyone else having problems with this?

Guess not. Sherkaner, any ideas as to why this would be happening? It's happening on all of the computers in my house.

Any word on this? At this point, BOB isn't even showing up on my computer, but I have two clickable maps menus. Very frustrating.

With symptoms like that, I would uninstall BOB and Clickable Maps, then reinstall them.

Sorry, I didn't realize we had been down this road before. The only alternative I would suggest to Tanari's solution would be an uninstall of the addons, then Greasemonkey, then Firefox, then reinstall from the ground up. I find it hard to believe that the Windows account would be permanently damaged, but then again, it is Windows.

Come to think of it, I have received an update to FIrefox, recently. Is everybody running 3.6.12? Maybe uninstall everything but FIrefox, get all the updates, then reinstall. I also keep up to date on Windows updates, too, so that is another avenue (or blind alley) to explore.

Just tried that. Stripped out everything, including Firefox. Put everything back up to Bob (not Clickable maps). Same thing - duplicate Bob menu.

When you did the uninstalls, did you click "Also uninstall associated preferences?" on the Greasemonkey Manage User Scripts dialog? (I feel like I'm grasping at straws here.)

Tisha: I'll make that change soon.

Uninstalls etc:
What I know is that Greasemonkey keeps its configuration of scripts in a file, which is a bit hard to find:
C:\Documents and Settings\{current user}\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles/{choose current profile, usually default}/gm_scripts/config.xml

My current guess is that something went wrong with installing, which created a wrong file. If someone could check that and confirm it.. The normal config will have 1 entry for both scripts:

Code: Select all
<Script filename="conquer_club_-_bob.user.js" name="Conquer Club - BOB" namespace="http://yeti_c.co.uk/conquerClub" description="Adds Stats, card counter, redemption value, text based map, map inspection tools" enabled="true" basedir="conquer_club_-_bob">
      <Include>http*://*conquerclub.com*</Include>
   </Script>
<Script filename="conquerclub_-_clickable_.user.js" name="ConquerClub - Clickable Maps" namespace="conquerClubClickableMaps" description="Makes the map in conquerclub clickable, creating an easier way of making moves." enabled="true" basedir="conquerclub_-_clickable_">
      <Include>http://*conquerclub.com/*game.php?game=*</Include>
   </Script>

This is exactly what I have for BOB. I haven't reinstalled Clickable Maps yet. No duplicate entry. Yet it shows up twice. Where is the similar scripting for Greasemonkey? Maybe I'll find duplicates there.

Duplicate Bob menus

Postby remydog on Sun Oct 31, 2010 8:37 am

Further update - I again uninstalled all scripts and Firefox. I even went to the trouble of finding every Firefox or Mozilla folder on my pc and removed all of them. Rebooted and reinstalled. Still have duplicate menus.

I'm guessing there is some line of code in the registry that is causing this.
