I'm a big fan of the Amazing Race which is currently airing right now. So here is my CC version of the Amazing Race. We will start with 12 teams of two and 3 reserve teams. I would prefer full teams, but you can sign up alone and will be paired up with the next single sign up. There will be 14 rounds which include a detour, a roadblock and two non-elimination legs. I will detail how each round works below. Please join all games within 48 hours. In the first round, any team that fails to do so will be replaced with a reserve team, otherwise they are eliminated. Also, freemiums are okay, just make sure to leave 1 spot open.
For Round 1 teams will be assigned to the games randomly using random.org. All rounds after that will assign teams based on order of arriving at the pit stop.
For all rounds, including the detour and roadblock map settings will be automatic, sequential, escalating, chained, foggy. Specific maps will be outlined below.
Elimination
The last team to arrive at the pit stop will be eliminated. The last team to arrive is defined as the losing team (first team to be eliminated) from the game that takes the longest to complete. To determine longest game, first I will compare number of rounds to complete the game and if there is a tie, then I will compare total length of time for the game from when the game is initialized until it is finished. This method will also be used to determine order of arriving at the pit stop for next round game placement.
Detour
First each team has to decide which detour game they would like to play. At the detour round, I will send out via PM two map options. Then each team has to reply back with which option they would like to play. Then I will send out single player games for each setting. The number of players and the number of maps played will depend on who chooses which map. Also, team mates will NOT play in the same game to prevent collaboration. They will each have their separate single player map. The winners of their map will be provided a 2 round credit on their next game (eg. If you complete the game in 10 rounds, I will count that as finishing in 8 rounds instead). It is possible for both members of the team to win a separate map, but only one credit can be won per team.
Roadblock
For the roadblock the map will be a random 6 player singles match. There will be 6 teams left at this point and at the beginning of this round I will send out via PM a request to pick one person from the team. That person will be the player to play the map. The winner of this game will gain a 1 round cedit on their next game.
Non-elimination Rounds
I will not disclose in advance what two rounds are non-elimination, but they have already been predetermined and it will be announced once that round completes. When a non-elimination leg is announced, the settings for the previous round will be used again for the next round.
