I'm not easily offended, but I extend bigotry to include pejorative usage. Guess it all started in college when one of our closest friends came out and kindly asked people to not use the term "That's gay" around him as the connotation offended him. I took it to heart and I've made sure to not use terms like that anymore (similar to the push to stop using the phrase "That's retarded").

I'd have no problem with your example, but it doesn't really fit here. A better comparison would be someone saying "Jobs are for ni***rs", which I hardly think would fly.

This is more akin to saying "Jobs are for dogs." Dogs has been used an offensive word for women for a long time, but I bet anyone would hardly take issue with this. Had he said "jobs are for bitches." I could see how this would merit getting your panties in a bunch. To start a C&A over the use of the word "poofs" is ridiculous. What if I referred to black people as ninjas? Does that merit punishment. Hardly just as poofs shouldn't. The real issue is that this is jefjef's way of fighting back in yet another one of his bitchfests.
