CCatman- Ljex, In cahoots to escape from high poi[noted]es

Postby army of nobunaga on Fri Sep 24, 2010 12:45 am

http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=7686625
Game 7686625

I ask myself why I am even bothering with this.

Well the answer is, they cheated. Their buddys that are mods in the forum will not even take this serious, because ... they are buddys.

But cheats are cheats.

Catman thought that Yellow was going to take me... Being a tremendous mogul farming point whore, he conspired with ljex to get an easier out on points. He blustered through his neutral suiciding across all the neutrals he could ending up with like 12 troops. Its so obvious it hurts. He is a fucking cheater. End of story.

It is true, look at the log. I will not even bother coming back here to check on the results. I did my job by having morals and reporting it.

thanx

i was using logic to figure out who had who as a target and sorry for doing that i forgot this wasnt a strategy game.....oh wait. and i lose more points then i get playing city mogul with this high rating so thanks for atleast getting the facts right

and something funny i'd like to add to this you say we dont want to lose a lot of points but everyone had just as good of a chance at winning so why would someone suicide at the point where they have a good shot at winning?

Well i don't see how you feel this is us using secret diplomacy...anyway if you didn't see blues dice he lost something like 30 vs 1,10,1,8 where he would have got an additional bonus. Also based on the fact that we both thought who yellow had was not you he assumed that i didn't have him and because he had yellow that meant you had him so he could afford to break neutrals for extra troops as there was no way you were going to get to him.

Really, there's no need to bait. I also doubt this was secret diplomacy, by the looks of things you just don't like the result of the game. Even if you don't agree with his TACTICS, that's not cheating. If you can't come to terms with this, just FAMO.

the reason i said i would wait for better odds is because i thought yellow had me...to me it was obvious who had who...anyway what yellow did lead to me thinking i was going to die and blue expanding which all lead to going after blue and thus winning. Also to be honest i didnt even say who my target was, ccatman said who has me and i said pick me, i thought everyone already knew i had blue after i bombarded that sides neutral 10

Thus another reason I believe this is just tactics that the OP didn't like.

Uhuh. Very odd tactics after an announcement of who has who...

The last round ccat and ljex began turn at the same time. 5 minutes later ljex won WITHOUT ccatman having dropped even after cashing. That is very very very questionable. He knew who had him and he never dropped to counter ljex. I could have even cashed and dropped in 5 minutes...

tactics? Ive played that map maybe 2000 times... Tactics does not include ramming out of your neutral, needlessly attacking EVERY neutral insight, getting your armys down to about 14... when everyone else had double of that...

he threw the game.. I lose a lot and I lose well... Dont ever say I am a sore loser.. I hate assassins even and only play them for the medal..

This isnt about me. Im sorry. This is about a guy that cheated.

learn freestyle speed then say you can cash and deploy in 5 minutes...look at the log from the time i attack to the time i kill him is all in about 20 seconds maybe a little more...then he has to deploy before i attack his regions or he gets error messages...its not that easy. Anyway you also want to wait till the end of the round to cash to get more troops so that is why he didnt cash earlier. Jefjef you if you dont know how feudal assassin freestyle works im not sure you can comment saying it is questionable strategy.

Btw this is a speed game...im sure we both began the first second after the previous round...you press b once and that automatically happens as long as you are not the last to play the previous round.

Ugh really? It makes perfect sense to me. Toss the game to a higher rank and lose less or let a lower rank win and lose more. You are not going to win anyhow, so save points right?

Edited to add: After looking at the game it seem perfectly clear what happened. Blue played like a moron (for reasons I have no clue) Red was stuck and dead in the water. Yellow was waiting to play on red when he moved(Like that was gonna happen) Green played even more like a moron but since blue suicided into neutrals then failed to drop at all says to me he was throwing the game. Nobody wins a game on a 6 cash in this style of play unless player 2 throws the game to player 2. Even total noobs last longer than this. Catman even puts in chat he was dead so he did not even bother to drop, which is total BS if you ask me. No way anybody should be dead on a 6 cash. Pretty open and shut case...

Oh and at Ljex... it does not take a freestyle player to know you can drop in 20 seconds or so as you claimed. Anybody can cash and drop in that time. Even cooks! So do not try to pull that BS on jefjef(one of the few times we agree)

Even i wont argue that that could be a good strategy if you are going to lose...give it to the higher ranked player, however this game was still completely up for grabs when ccatman expanded, what gave it to me was his bad dice. Also i would like to point out that in order for me to kill him he had to get bad dice when we was expanding to get an extra bonus. Anyway i find it funny that AON actually believes this is the easiest case the multi hunters have ever been presented with based on the number of factors that were not in either me or ccatman's control that had to happen for the game to play out the way it did.

Well I'm sorry ljex. The revealing of your target and the crap game play that even I, who doesn't play FS or assassin, can see that if that 9 (3 + 6 cash) was dropped you likely would not have been able to eliminate him. It works the same in sequential. ;)

Something very suspect and fishy happened in that game...

haha jefjef...you would have no chance to deploy that...if i just attack the region you tried to deploy it one once, you would get an error message and then i would kill you, anyway you can think i cheated and i can know i didn't. I don't see why you think i would cheat because simply put i don't need too.

Whats funny is that i have recently made a thread in GD saying i would begin my turn if my only spot left was a killer neutral, and yet I'm somehow cheating on a game that just happened to work out in my favor. I have and always will play by the rules and it pisses me off that people think i would actually care about points ect enough to cheat for them.

I've been through the game log an the chat log. (That was really tiring.)

Is it illegal to post who your target is? If so, seems like that would be the first illegal move.

Is it illegal to suicide? (I'm pretty sure it is.) ccatman clearly suicided.

As ccatman so obviously suicided after Ljex revealed that ccatman was his target, it appears clear that these two worked together to create a victory for Ljex.

It would be nice to see that conquerclub punishes its moderators for violations.

First off its no illegal to say who your target is that i know of...and second i didn't even say who my target was...till i thought it was so obvious that i had blue no one didn't know. Second if ccatman suicided, not that i think he did, how does that make me a cheater? Lastly and i really mean this honestly, if i am punished for anything i did in that game I will be leaving CC. And thats a lot to say considering how much time a day i spend on this site, because I know i did nothing wrong (Ok im sry i said pick me when ccatman asked who his target was...i had already attacked that sides neutral 10, why would i unless i had blue so that shouldn't have been that hard for anyone in that game to figure out). It really is disappointed that so many of you think i cheated...

I can't find a rule specifically against informing someone of your assassin target, but I do see where the game description says the target is secret, which implies to me, you shouldn't be informing of assassin target. If informing is illegal, looks like ljex cheated. Going thru the wrong-side neutral could be a feint; is not necessarily a dead giveaway of your ultimate target. Only would work if you're fairly certain whose target you are (or are not).

As for cc? Lotta seconds went by between cash and destructo, even several seconds between cash and ljex taking his castle. It would probably take me about 30 seconds to deploy once I cashed, so I wondered how long it takes cc? So I checked, poking into random freestyle speed games he plays. Turns out, in most of his games, he can cash and deploy a second later. Between plowing through neutrals and not deploying, after discussing who had who as target, it really does look fairly incriminating. Sorry, catman, but it does.

I believe that we can assume not. Just as informing the rest of the board of a players position and size in a fog of war game isn't illegal, I doubt neither is saying who your target is, therefore in that aspect at least, he isn't cheating.

long and short...it isn't cheating to say who your target is...in fact, 8 out of ten times you would discount whatever was said as misleading...I've often bullshitted about who my target is and then in future games pps don't believe and are easy meat...bit of a mod-hunter beatup going on???

I do not think anybody is questioning weather or not ljex or ccatman told anybody what his target was. More the fact why did ccatman suicide for ljex to kill him?

No Shiite, Sherlock...Bruce you should really read the whole thread rather than pontificating on your synopsis of what is important...
Two pps above said Ljex was acting illegally in telling his target and another says it looks like ljex cheated based on that...I was just pointing out that it is NOT illegal/cheating...

It is illegal if it was done to throw the game. Take all actions into account and it sure looks very suspect.

Target informing + what appears to be neutral suicide + almost 5 minutes of drop opportunity that ccat chose not to take advantage of and which likely would have been enough to not be eliminated + chat comments = :-s
