i was never treated unfairly with my avatar. the only issue i ever felt unfairly treated involving an avatar was when a mod was too ignorant to realize that a black face avatar which used an image as a representative for racist renderings of blacks in textbooks, was deemed non-offensive and simply "art". as far as my old piss christ avatar, i was asked about it, i gave my response, my response was deemed sufficient for me to keep the avatar i had at the time. i removed it later to replace it with a classic "owen" avatar that DaGip made for me, and that was that. actually, both myself and DaGip had to remove those avatars because the avatar had the word f*ck scrawled across it. so, this isn't about my avatar from 2 years ago, it is about an avatar that has the word f*ck in it, a word that is not allowed in the forum by CC's own program, so it should not be allowed in an avatar. if she wants to drop an asterisk in it, that is fine... but if f*ck is deemed to not be offensive in an avatar, i can't wait to see the forum in the following weeks... maybe we can bring back all the porn chicks that used to dance in the GD as well!!!-the black jesus

Can't we just be adults and play the fucker as such instead of nit picking every little inconsequential issue like elderly grandmas. Are you a grandma? Do you drive a '92 Buick LeSabre? Does this avatar have any bearing on how you play the game? Not to mention shouldn't you be fighting to keep this avatar instead of against it. Quit fighting for taxation without representation and throw a little tea into the harbor.

Well griff all those offensive avis you just mentioned are fine for a discussion somewhere but it all has nothing to do with this specific complaint.

Owen has a complaint about an offensive word. I don't agree with it myself and like to use it at times but he and others do have a valid point and deserve a ruling on it.

if you have a problem with m avatar, start a C&A report about it as andy has suggested. as far as offensive avatars go, this is and has been an ongoing issue. i pointed to a 19 page thread in which andy issued a ruling which is still the standard today.

as a community it is our duty to self police ourselves on these matters. i have reported and had multiple user names and avatars changed/removed. this is not the first time someone has been put into C&A for an offensive avatar, and i invite others to report any/all offensive avatars they find. this is a family friendly site, and the forums are monitored as suck. that was the reason given for many things like flame wars going the way of the dodo bird... again, if CC self auto-censors the word f*ck when you type it without trying to get around the self-correction, why should a member be able to use the word within their avatar? it is a valid complaint and if you read that 19 page thread (which is actually a really great read) the ruling that should be handed down is clear. have a wonderful day, and i look forward to your putting my avatar into a C&A thread.-the black jesus

rules are rules. and nice flaming, i hope you enjoy the warning you receive. way to further the discourse with your sound and sage input and thoughts on the matter. again, if someone finds an avatar abusive or offensive, they are encouraged to turn them in to C&A. this is from andy, not from me. maybe if you actually read some of this thread and read the thread i have referenced, you would understand what this is about.

not everyone on this site is an adult (as proven by your juvenile flame and remarks), and the site polices itself as best it can for offensive material in the forums. that is one reason the word f*ck is auto-edited. if the word is auto-edited and deemed offensive by CC, then why can it be used in a signature? not to mention, members have had to remove sigs with the same word in them during the great forum clean up. it is not my fault if many new members do not understand the nuances of the rules and especially the rules of the forums. i look forward to having this standard once again upheld and for those of you in this thread that do not understand my complaint, possibly understanding it. imagine a forum populated with f*ck avatars and sigs... that is exactly what would happen if this isn't properly addressed...-the black jesus

Yawn. Won't someone start a C&A against me for lack of proper grammar. It seems to be this is the point we are almost at. Pretty soon certain colors are gonna have to be banned from avis and sigs as they could be gang affiliated. Do we really want assigned seats and a dress code?

again, this is an established rule and we have all been encouraged to help police the site by andy. i have already linked a 19 page about this very subject. and people have been placed on bans for avatars, ask DaGip... this is a valid complaint about an avatar. i can't believe so many people are clueless about the avatar rules and avatar abuse. it is in the damn rules on the rules page!!!-the black jesus

Can you say that for a fact CC has an issue with the word f*ck? If so, I would like to see a clear statement that says as such. If not, it could just be a formality. Maybe CC is all about f*ck and loves to fucking f*ck and even cries out f*ck while fucking. Who knows CC might even do that with an asterisk just because CC likes to spell it that way.

please explain to me how this is a vindictive C&A thread? it is a valid complaint about an avatar and i have done exactly as andy stated we should do in the 19 page thread i posted, when we encounter an offensive avatar. it is now up to team CC to either follow the same rules they enforced on other members in the past (i was never busted for an offensive avatar and have never broken the offensive avatar rule). i suggest you stop making personal comments about members which have nothing to do about this thread, and actually put some sort of input into the thread to further the INTELLIGENT discourse. i love how everyone has stooped to name calling and posting f*ck in various ways to get around the auto-edit. this is about an avatar and i have a valid complaint that i have backed up with sound reason. try to do the same instead of your usual baiting, flaming and general abuse of your position that you are so well known for.

I don't speak for CC, I'm a volunteer and spare my time to help out the community, rather than be intentionally annoying, as you seem to have decided you want to do. By the way, your post just here is a flame and will be reported.

I can't be bothered to read 19 pages - explain to me how this is against the rules. You haven't done this yet.
