this is a perfect example off what i am saying
1) this was lvs case
2)the op was offended by it thats why he posted so obviously was taken to far
3)this is a c and a forum do you call all members whistle blowers that post in here
4)you use me as a example saying i mod bash plz i get on with a few of the mods i just dont like arrogant comments that some off you make like this post you have made.
5)i respect the fact that it a volunters position but it does not give the right for some of the arrogence that is used
5)yes you could comment on things in the c and a forum but look at it from this point of view
a)lv was looking into it and found the players guilty
b)your comment says it is ok
c)if they appeal and ask you to look at it then they have you quoted saying that things were ok.
ps the bit about the arrogance of mods was meant for another thread
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=123227
in this jef jef openly flames a player with no punishment.

sigh..

1)
There are no cases that are dedicated to one specific hunter/C&A mod. Its a team, this has been explained to you over and over, you think you would have caught on by now.
2&3)
Yes your right eddie, this is a C&A forum where anybody can post possible rule violations to be investigated. If you go back and fully read my statement which you quoted it says MY OPINION is this is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things. Me personally, if I wasnt obliged to prosecute offenses due to my modly duties would enlighten and educate a small potatoes ordeal before I went trying to get them in trouble by posting a thread about them in C&A. This happens all the time with new users that are in the wrong but are unaware of some site rules. MY OPINION once again still is a simple "Hey I dont appreciate you doing this, please dont do it again or I will resort to turning you in" would have sufficed in this situation.
4&5a)
Im glad you get a long with a few mods, honestly I dont care, Im just sick of 90% of the posts you make in here you have to take it to some extreme about you not liking this about these mods or so on and so forth. Move on. If you dont agree with they way a mod team like this mod team (the hunters) do their business then save us all the headache and dont post about it all the time. Use dictionary.com and look up the word arrogance, no one on this team has tried to act better and/or above anyone. We as VOLUNTEERS have accepted to do a job that gets dirty, we have repeatedly taken attacks by users much like yourself about the way handle cases to include the details of them of which no one has no business of knowing for obvious reasons that have been well stated and we will continue to adhere to the current policies and upcoming ones and hold members of the site accountable for them regardless of your opinion of us.
5b. a-c)
As stated LV was not the only one looking into it, there are very seldom cases that get reviewed by only 1 set of eyes before they are Closed and Moved, my comment that you didnt take the time to read said in it at least twice that is was my opinion and nowhere in it did it say these offenders would get off, it said LV would hand out the ruling as he saw fit. I am a Volunteer that tries to help the site run without rule violators on it, but I am also very much a person and a player and I am entitled to my opinion. I didnt go stating it as fact or law, nor did I handle myself in a way that would be un-becoming of my position as a hunter. LV handed out the punishments for these players to set the precedence that this is not acceptable behavior and further actions like this in the future from users will be subject to the same scrutiny. I totally concur 100% with that mark of behavior being made a standard, I 100% still back my thought process and statement that this could have been handled without our involvement though.

Sticky it, copy and paste it, make it a fav 5 post of yours what ever you need. If you read my words and listen to them then maybe you will understand what it is I am saying.

KS

P.S. That thread you referenced is in GD, if you got a problem with what he posted use the report a post function and it will get looked at by a moderator in there. We dont and wont be able to catch every rule violation that goes on. But complaining about one in a forum that has nothing to do with the other does nothing to help the problem

ok whatever but like you say it has been explained that c and a members discuss the cases with each other that is ok and i am not going against this. but this looks like you did not agree with what the other c and a mods agreed on so you posted what your opinion was that is what you can call arrogance. but never mind.

also i will restate i am sorry about the bit about arrogant mods got a new wireless keyboard hit a button and it jumped back to this thread instead of the one it was meant for. but you seem to not accept that.

No it isn't(I also added the missing comma(that is arrogance)).

And because I dont believe you actually looked at it, here is the definition of arrogance....

arĀ·roĀ·gance
ā€‚ ā€‚/ĖˆĆ¦rəgəns/ [ar-uh-guhns]
ā€“noun
offensive display of superiority or self-importance; overbearing pride.

:( come on LV, let Eddie have his fantasy. Fits in with his world view to think the mods are at war with each other. Eddie's CC theology, LV = baaaaaaaaaaad, KS = goooooooooooooooood. Please don't try to harm his "understanding" of good vs evil. How much heartbreak can the kid take??? Have you no pity in your heart for Eddie's conflicted soul? Can you not see that he needs to see conflict between authority figures. Please don't try to shatter his illusions. Let him dream!!!!!! I beg of you.

What? We all know that LV is the devil. After all, he's got a V in his name. And Sam's a KING!

wholeheartedly disagree with this... i was not the first person they hit... they were not new users... i posted this in an effort to set a precedent, before synchronized spamming got out of hand. telling any of these players that they should not do it, would have fallen on deaf ears. why? because i am not a mod and i do not have any authority on the site. this could have been resolved with a simple PM from someone in power... kind of makes my old suggestion of having a group of peers that settle minor disputes like this seem more viable, doesn't it? anyway, if this had not gone to C&A they would have continued. there is no way you can convince me of otherwise, sam... look at their initial reaction within the thread!!! anyway, it is resolved, and i did the proper thing to file a C&A no matter what your personal feelings on it are... odd that a C&A mod would discourage people from filing valid complaints...-the black jesus

Owen, you can say all you want but we all know you only reported this cause you liked being in the spotlight for 5 seconds. You had no idea we had done it more than once and the moment you read those comments I bet your little face lit up with the excitement of starting your own wee thread. I am glad we did it to you, I am glad we made your day and I wish you all the best in your endeavours to get noticed...-insert enitrely unwtitty nickname here

I really think you got the wrong idea out of what KS was saying. Just because it is a valid complaint doesnt mean that it has to be immediately posted here. There are quite a few threads started in C&A that could just as easily be settled outside of this forum between the users in question. Having the users settle their own problems without having a mod step in every time would save a lot of time for the Hunters to focus on the major issues that are posted here(not saying your issue doesnt have hold either...). If the problem cannot be solved by the users, thats when it should be brought here.

I probably would have done the same thing to be honest owen. But i think the major thing to realize is that people handle sitautions differently, and what KS said was, in his words,

bravo GK, =D> , an outside the box thinker and one who can read a post from another user and accept someone else's differed perspective.

GK hit it spot on with his post in reference to MY OPINION. I encourage everyone to report a violation here if they think they have been the subject of one, that has not changed. But me personally I if I was a normal CC member would try to handle a lesser violation/situation like this outside this forum before I came here for the modly muscle.

Regardless, this complaint was valid, it was submitted, investigated, and a precedence was set regarding the issue. Lets let it die.

Happy Gaming

bravo GK, =D> , an outside the box thinker and one who can read a post from another user and accept someone else's valid point that a user attempting to warn multiple users for an offense such as this, simply would not work!!

GK hit it spot on with his post in reference to MY OPINION. i encourage everyone to try and handle a lesser violation/situation like OTHERS, NOT THIS ONE (they spammed multiple walls including lack's) outside this forum before they come in here for help from a mod.

Regardless of King Sam's inability to understand a regular user attempting to resolve a situation like this more than likely would have fallen on deaf ears. they had no idea that what they did was wrong and it took some serious jawing within this thread for them to realize it. this complaint was valid, it was submitted, investigated, and a precedence was set regarding the issue. and KS if you want let it die, i suggest you stop goading the member that filed the complaint.

Happy Gaming

I always encourage users to attempt to handle an issue on their own at first. As noted in Cool Hand Luke, 'What we've got here is failure to communicate.'

Communication can most always solve a number of issues. But we here in the C&A are still happy to accept your reports. ;)

so, as a user, i should have taken it upon myself to contact multiple members that had spammed multiple walls, including lacks, in an effort to somehow convince them that they were wrong? if you followed the thread, they did not believe what they did was wrong and/or spam... so, wonderful that you can drop in at the end and make some sort of blanket statement that doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what was done to multiple members, reported by me, and dealt with by LV, but this was not a situation where a member could have resolved it with a PM.-the black jesus

Also in the epic song by Guns and Roses - Civil War. "What we've got here is failure to communicate, some folks you just can't reach. So you get what we had last week, which is the way he was....." Lovely little opening lines :)

You knew we spam lacks wall? Then why wasn't it in the original post? IF you pm'd me you would have got a response. At the time of reporting you knew nothing of the case and to claim otherwise is ridiculous, the problem as you knew it could have easily been resolved via pm. KS didn't give a shit, neither did any of the others and we both know you didn't give a shit either.
