No. It wasnt. The quote you quoted was him questioning the use of "IP Scans" as the sole way to catch multis. So he made a hypothetical question about what if someone in his household wanted to play... The bigger question here is why would someone as "decorated" and "successful" as he says, still be living at his parent's home? Clearly he's no where near as old as he is trying to make it out to sound.
Actually it was, seeing as I in sound mind was the one that made the comment I am the one that can verify the reasoning behind it. And the reasoning behind me bringing up the retirement, the degree and the fact that he said the comment about the father account was all derived from the fact that I too had the hunch that he's no where near as old as he is trying to make it sound.
The question about who made the comment to him about not being able to play with his fathers account is still a legit one, if you read the context surrounding it in the game chat then it supports the notion that it wasn't a hypothetical statement and was a statement that was made with what was thought to be truth behind it. And seeing as I already think this character is not being truthful with some other aspects regarding his account I don't think I'm going out on too much of a limb here to think that maybe, just maybe an account really was told about this, just not this one.
A lil Multi tool for you, most multis and cheaters catch themselves in situations like these. Where they forget what account did what and was told what. So I would still like the father account that you referenced.
As to all the other responses thanks everyone for educating me on workspace and cubicles, I wasnt holding this against this player, it just looked like another tangent in this story that didnt add up. I have been out of the civilian sector for quite some time and imagined a degree of some sort meant a lil something different in that workforce.
As for the military aspect of it, whether or not you or someone you know that retired as enlisted in the military with a degree I still dont think its the norm. Im active duty right now and me jumping from enlisted to officer (with a degree) is an extra 2 grand a check in a retirement check. Makes no sense not to collect on that if I have already done the pre-reqs of the college work to obtain it.
So I wasnt just talking out of my ass there. I was with the cubicles thing though, thanks.
