well ,Queen ,i waited you will fish some dirt on me. as i wrote before ,that is your way in life : point the finger at others.
all i say is that i was blamed for something i didn't do ,and everyone should be very careful when using a shared pc to log in.
so i faced the music ,a solution was offered ,and i took it .
and the fact is that the topic there was "a request to delete/abandon game" - as an answer to the harvesting accusation by eddie2 .
with that ,i'm done with answering to accusations ,as i don't have a case to answer here .
now i'm related to the symbol ? lol .now ,that's funny .a bit out of taste though ,but funny .
any chance Queen_herpes is a lawyer ?

and this contributes to the thread how? Personally, whether or not you feel you were incorrectly rated, you do seem to have an abrasive personality at times judging by your posts here. That aside, I dont think this thread will go anywhere regardless of the truth seeing as you have maybe 3 ratings that you can "back up" with "proof". Instead of flaming right back why don't you explain why you didn't deserve that rating other than just saying look at the game. I don't know, maybe something like well I played well and said hi and gg that was it and yet i got 1s even tho i won the game.....something like that.

I think if you look at QH ratings they are fine.

If you feel you got a bad rap (e.g. Ollie) Send a pm to queen and state your case. She has shown that she is mature enough to correct mistakes.

C&A reports about ratings should be confined to GROSS ABUSE, not tattle-tale squabbles over one or two ratings.

As mentioned, I go through my ratings from time-to-time and amend where necessary. This tends to happen on Sundays. I saw yours and one other email about a rating left. I sent you and one other member a PM in response to your PMs.

I noticed jefjef referencing the rating for danryan and I did a little digging into the games they played. Both were 1v1 speed games that QH won. The tag of "deadbeating" is inaccurate in a quantitative sense because dan didn't miss any turns. The "sore loser" tag I feel is a bit misleading, because in both game chats he only complains about the dice. No personal attacks. I am not a regular on the C&A boards, but I do feel that dan is a stand up guy and for him to foe someone over ratings is quite abnormal. He was my leader and my mentor. I'm not putting any blame on QH, but on behalf of dan, I respectfully request you reconsider the rating.

I HATE the Ranking system to begin with because some resentful fool will give me 1 stars because I called THEM a deadbeat after they missed 2 turns in a row in chat (not even in ratings).

This sort of stuff pisses me off but you know what, I don't bring it to the cheating & Abuse section. If she had hurled racial slurs at you or said your mama was 1000000 tonnes then that in my eyes is abuse, if someone leaves you a bad rating that is their prerogative. So man the hell up, put her on your foe list, leave your response to her bad rating to defend yourself and find another player to verse you.

I say all this with the deepest sympathies for what this does to your rating average but c'est la vie.

Out of respect to you and every other member of conquerclub.com, I am now opening up this thread for all members to post their concerns about every single rating I have ever left, whether negative or positive. I will then, upon reading each post, do through and review each case, open up every game, and amend the ratings accordingly.

As to danryan's rating, I cannot be sure. I will have to go and look at the games and then amend the ratings accordingly. I cannot believe that I clicked on "deadbeating" without danryan missing a single turn, but I take you at your word, and I will independently verify. I don't know if it is a defense, but after a long day of collecting a paycheck for doing pretty much nothing, I take care of my kids, and once the kids are in bed I start drinking alcohol. While inebriated, I usually go around willy-nilly rating my opponents. I prefer to do it drunk because I believe a rating written while influenced by alcohol is a more apt description of a player's performance than an emotional, sober rendition of the facts of the game.

As I am probably required to post something regarding the actual facts of the case we are discussing, which is the rating of VPOG, I have this to say:

It was clear to me that there was secret diplomacy going on between emergentsea and VPOG. I read comments on their walls between the two of them. I believe secret diplomacy to be a "cheap tactic." So I checked both "secret diplomacy" and "cheap tactics." I gave VPOG a rating of 1 star for attitude because I believe that secret diplomacy is a behavioral choice which shows a truly poor attitude towards sportsmanship. I gave VPOG a rating of 1 star for gameplay because I believe secret diplomacy to be truly poor gameplay. If you cannot win a game without secret diplomacy, then you are a poor gameplayer. I gave VPOG a rating of 1 star for fair play because I believe secret diplomacy is the definition of unfair play.

edit: danryan missed both of his last two turns in game 7301280, so safariguy was being untruthful in his post.

Fair enough, guess I didn't bother looking at BOB closely enough. I will say though, that despite what everyone considers as being "truthful" expect people to complain and moan about low ratings. Human nature willing, people react much more to negative criticism than positive criticism. Power to you if you want to be honest about something, but expect a backlash from some people. I don't particularly like the ratings system either. I thought that the old system was much better for being able to state your case. Still, I don't see this report as leading to any action. A rating is a rating, it's not like you're going to lose points from it and the numbers are going to even out over the long run anyways.

I think eddie2 is saying that it is appropriate to mark a 1 star gameplay on the opponent who lost a game. He wasn't saying that it is the exclusive rating for a loser, but acceptable.

i have already stated that i enjoy playing with emergentsea .the wall posts were about the possibility of posting this thread ,and nothing else .
there was and never will be a secret diplomacy between me and emergentsea .whats the point in that ? can't i have a friendly chat with him like Queen was having when she had the lead ?

when the two other players gain the upper-hand in a game ,i merely tried to get by and not get in the way of the others .
Queen applied a mind-game tactics all game long ,trying to make me act as she pleases .fair enough and in the boundaries of the game but at some stage i decided to ignore her and play MY game and MY game only .
Queen was very unhappy i didn't "listen" to her and did what i wanted to do ,which is clearly the way it was portrait in the games log .it was CLEAR the if you do not bow down to Queen demands ,you will pay in poor ratings .
when i took east zaire ,instead of colliding with Queen ,and according to "let those two fight ,when i'm going to recover" ,she lost her temper .i'm sure that in that point she decided that there is a secret diplomacy and what have you....
i pulled a comeback that i couldn't believe i can pull ,and apparently so did Queen .( thus proving a point of what a sore loser she can be ,and that my rating in unjustified )
i understand it's very frustrating to lose a game you thought you had it in your hands .
the congrats left by Queen in the end on the game were an act of hypocrisy by Queen ,that is way i see it. to congratulate and then to rate poorly ? hmmm....what a "cheap tactic" is that .

to sum it up : i played fair ,pulled a comeback ,Queen felt this game should have been hers ,and in an act of a loser decided to rate me the way she did .
a warning to all : if you don't want to be subjected to a severe case of a mind-game ,and want to enjoy the game instead of dealing with a sore loser and bad rating in the case of winning a game ,than avoid playing with Queen .

vpog when you look at the other games you were in with emergantsea at the same time as the game with qh you can see by the comments in game chat this can be suspected all qh like many others have done on this site is suspect someone of something and rated accordingly if she made a c and a about it at the time all mods would of said was foe and move on. so you cant punish someone for taking a short cut and not reporting it from the start

You are hugely offended because this hurts your reputation...so you're openly trying to smear QH's reputation on a grander scale by putting her on trial, making her defend each and every account of low rating she has ever given someone.

If it is ruled here that a person can be penalized for what they saw as a reasonable rating (and I believe that that was how QH saw it) then that opens up a can of worms for the entire community, I don't think anyone should have to defend themselves for their opinions, and that is exactly what matter is all about. if i may give my opinion, i think that QH is not helping her cause by pointing fingers... also, i doubt she will be busted, i think its more like being warned... thats what usually happens during ratings abuse. my advice for VPOG, just foe.

Jefjef - thank you for the time and effort you put into this matter .with that , i disagree with your final conclusion . reason is : there were others who won and were poorly rated in addition to :sore loser ,cheap tactics and so on .

BTW. Just because someone wins does not mean they only deserve high ratings. Many win by using cheap tactics - truces - are asses in chat - miss turns - play stupidly and get extremely lucky - etc...
