Hell of a cool concept, but a quick question: did the Luftwaffe actually make it far enough to bomb targets in Scotland and N Ireland? 'Cause otherwise I think you could zoom in closer on central and southern England and northern France.

Yep they did, There were a hell of a lot more planes that came from Norway, and they attacked the North including Scotland/North Ireland. However i ran out of room and i'm afraid more planes would make it look more cluttered.

I love it. It is a little cluttered with all the planes tho. My mind goes crazy when playing maps like this, hard for me to keep what goes where but maybe just me, if i played it a few times i would be ok. Great idea.

Wow. This looks so cool.

I got some gameplay crits for you though.

I think you should take the assaults out and make this a strict air war. The object should be to bomb your enemy into submission, as was the German strategy (Sea Lion was completely unfeasible). And became the British war plan, bomb the hell out of the Germans, later in the war. I think this aspect of gameplay could be worked out.

Planes should be reverting neutral ones. It re-enacts the need to get planes in the air and attacking. They just didn't sit out up in the air and wait! There should be some effort to get planes into the fight.

A battle of Britain isn't the Battle of Britain without RADAR!

But really, great start. I look forward to this map already!

I like the idea, and the graphics. It is probably a style of map I'd never play, but I think it could fit nicely into Conquer Club's array of maps...

Hmm... did you copypaste the barbwire straight from your poland map? ;)

The map looks great graphics-wise though. Only thing I don't like is the red colour for the legend background. It worked for the Poland map but Poland had very different colour scheme. Here, I'd go for something like grey or blue, but that's just my opinion.

As for the gameplay... all airforces can attack all planes (of same nationality)? I'm not sure how I feel about that... It's going to be hard to hold those planes when anyone can just attack them. I think I'd like it more if there were set connections from regular territories to planes.

Excellent map idea! I can see you really like the ww2 theme.
I'd like to see this done as close as possible to the historical facts. or as open as possible to the player to make his own strategy.
Maybe add a few V1's as a bombardment?

Is there a way to write into the xml a way to see round fog? Cause this map would be amazing just played on fog with radar stations to capture which would lift the fog?

A very good idea indeed.
A small remark though.

There has been a raid at Belfast at April, 15th 1941 according to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belfast_Blitz.
The battle of Britain was over at that time.

Please bear in mind that the Germans did not have any long range bombers. Their bombers were ment to support the 'Blitzkrieg' concept.

I'll just echo some of the others and say cool idea :!: , but alas a little "cluttered" feeling. perhaps planes can be made smaller? map bigger? if, as suggested the air becomes main stag eof battle maybe the planes can stand out more, where as land has a lighter colour scheme, more as a backdrop? i dunno, jsut throwing brainfarts out there, haha

You dhould definatly ocntinue with this one :)
