something wrong with snapshot.....i can take a snapshot, but when i review the snapshot, troop counts differ along with the player they belong to. in one game all troops on the board where shown belonging to one player, and there where even several regions that showed "0" troops. i uninstalled an reinstalled and there was no change.

Also the fog terr count is completely off.Plus the amount of troops is wrong.Even though we all start with 18 terr's it's saying we are all only dropping 3.

Well, I merged rappel's BOB 5.0.0 topic in here, but the posts ended up way back where sherkaner likely wouldn't see them, so I am quoting them here for emphasis and clarity, and commenting where I can:
rappel wrote:Haven't yet found what the new zones feature is for, but if I turn it off with the hide button shouldn't they all remain hidden? After the next game turn they come back for me, even if I leave a message.

Firefox 3.6.3, GM - current 0.8.20100408.6 BOB 5.0.0
Comments, sherkaner?
rappel wrote:...sorry fonts have changed as well and they are not good for me. How do I revert?
If you mean the font used for troop numbers, BOB does not control that. I believe it's part of the Improved Army Printing from the site.
You should also get better response by posting to the main BOB topic, which is always available via the tiny version number clicky on the BOB Menu on the left. Right now it is 5.0.2. I have merged this topic of yours into that one so the usual BOB gurus can pursue your issues.

snapshots are totally hosed. South America, foggy, 2 player game, took snapshot and then looked at it, and it shows pink and yellow with armies now... and the red and green ones are incorrect. Also, wouldn't load up Oasis map.

i use the colorblind feature (colour codes) and snapshots do not capture these.

Thanks for that ender516

resintall of 5.0.1 cured the first and third ones and they still behave in 5.0.2. I've registered my views on the fonts in the topic you suggested, so all items dealt with.

Unfortunately I have one other odd one now - in some games (and they aren't consistent, i.e I haven't spotted a pattern yet) I will get the text map displayed. Only thing is it's turned off in the view menu and turnign it off/on doesn't make a difference. Exitting the browser and returning doesn't always clear it but sometimes does.

???

Hmm, the text map is displayed when you specifically asked for it for that map (through map options), or when that is on default, it uses the setting in the view.
If you didn't specifically set it for a map, I'd consider it a bug. But then I'd like to know the maps where it occurs (I still expect it to be map-bound).

Also, statistics have gone wacky. Sometimes it puts negative numbers in place of regions held. And the snap shots are again from what appears to be other games. Weird.

Maybe this should have been tested first before being rolled out.

Any word on the problem with the snapshots?

BOB

Postby steve066 on Wed Jun 16, 2010 11:00 pm

BOB retains my numerical settings in map options i.e. opacity/ brightness
but does not apply them when i return to game. all maps seem to default to a neutral like appearance.

also, when using mouse wheel to select number of men to drop the entire map scrolls in addition to
drop amount

suggestions plz

still won't finish processing log on Oasis for me, either.

appreciate the work on this (that you do for free!) and don't mean to sound like a complainer. just pointing out issues you may not know about...

Ah, I wasn't aware that you could set it to be map specific. RTFM I suppose... It is just possible that I have left it switched on somewhere in the dim distant past on a map or two as I was experimenting when I first found the feature. I'll look out and let you know. If I don't get back assume that I've just not found it again.

Thanks for the response.

BOB 5.0.3 is released now, it should display snapshots (old and new) correctly, not get stuck when someone is removed from the game, and correctly determine the amount of starting territories.

The new version fixed the snapshots that were out of whack, but not the color codes issues.

Circle Whiteness in Map Options stopped working properly. When you enter the game it does not set it, it behaves as if BOB is not running (0% ?). But when you try to change anything in the map options like setting Circle Whiteness or Opacity then it is suddenly set. Also when Start your turn it is set properly, too
