and persianempire, i've told you there are going to be no more arrows on the map, get the message. Final. so once again, i know you've only come into this recently, but that's too bad because i am almost finished with the graphics on this map and your suggestions while welcome will probably go nowhere, so give up while you're ahead.

and another piece of advice, keep your foul mouth clean in my thread thanks. it is not welcome if it's going to be foul go elsewhere.

You know, you are really a pushy guy, aren't you. you just don't give up. well as i said you should learn to give up.

just because you post an idea does not mean i have to use it if i don't want to.
i use what i want, it's my map.
if you feel dissatisfaction then you are welcome to post another thread with your own version of this map.

as lt_oddbal said, there are several people who have put this together and you should repsect that. you should also repsect the time i put into it, and being patient while people like yourself didn't bother to post for whatever reason.

I have said no to see-through arrows because i don't consider they would benefit that graphics of the map, rather only confuse it.

and here is what i posted in the thread.

I have not told you to go to hell, that is your interpretation. All i have said is that i am not going to use the arrows. so give up on it.

yes i told you to keep out of the thread if you want to use foul language to me or anyone else in my thread.

you think you have done me a big favour giving me information. well you prompted me to change a few names so that it would satisfy you both calling for some real names on the map.
I chose to use the name after i did more research which i needed to do to keep you guys somewhat satisfied.

Thanks for you time, and i will be posting this all in the thread.

i think it is your eyes and illusion...
the orange over-powers that grey somewhat but these colours are also use to satisfy the CB issue.
the other greys get a little lost with the yellow unfortunately, but the line thickness is .2 mil, same as the others, and i don't want to increase that.
yes the 13th div does come out best. :)

Thanks for pulling me back into this (or else I don't understand who you mean with "you both" and "you guys"). I thought I was doing you a favour by pointing out some Russian spelling mistakes, mostly. But apparently I was wrong, which was already obvious from the fact that most mistakes are still there. If it was my 'train wreck' joke that offended you, I am sorry. My complaint about the time of response was based on misunderstanding and withdrawn. If those are reasons for you not to correct your mistakes (what I meant earlier with pride and ego), I am sorry for you.

If it comes to foul language: It was your friend Oddball that started telling people to go to hell, so if you are serious about your dislike of profanity (which I share with you) you reprimand him as well.

jasnostj, i am aware that you pointed out some pselling mistakes, some i took notice of...other i didn't because i didn't feel thay were "totally" important. As pointed out to persianempire, what you preceive as one thing many not be perceived by others. However you also participated in a debate with persianempire about names of generals on the map (i have provided what i consider a positive response and the reason for using those generals), and it was that i was referrring to with "you both". And you (not me) chose to come back in to this forum, i didn't drag you in here.

If it comes to foul language: It was your friend Oddball that started telling people to go to hell, so if you are serious about your dislike of profanity (which I share with you) you reprimand him as well.

nowhere in lt_oddball's response does lt_oddball use the term "fking" (and we all know what that is). This is what i was referring to as profanity, combined with the use of jakass, douchebag and asshole used in persianempire's same repsonse, mmmm not nice ! Telling someone in my books to go to hell does not help any communication situation (pls take note lt_oddball), however, i don't consider it profanity, however it was the previous terms in thie para that i was referring to.

I couldn't think of an unholier place than hell, but OK. I won't start a discussion on religious dogma now.
Good luck with finishing this. I hope you maintain sensitivity to constructive criticism. You may receive some more of it (don't worry: not from me).

Version 35
I've added small same colour shapes to the target cells for the snipers....does this help any to identify who bombard where.

come on cairns your map is great but this is not an acceptable answer
I mean "go to the front page of the thread"
is like go to hell
I know it's hard to find a good way to solve it
maybe the target names under each sniper...

Actually, It originated from Pamoa..

*4* times uglier than *hell* .

Make better up to a point.. not infinitely dragging it on, not pleasing everybody in the world, not seeking perfection at the expense of precious time and enthusiasm of the mapmaker...
Besides you/Pe-empire ventilated a couple of historical errors which made me/us feel you are not the expert you profile yourself to be.

And now I do rather see it launched with some imperfections (about colours, names) with the possibility to collect remarks (about game balance, maximum game turns, gridlocks etc) over the next year and have it then fixed instead of continuing this drag.

The map is good, and whatever bothers (a name or a colour) can be ignored during the heat of gameplay.
It can wait until the end of beta-testing time, which is still less than the whole period since the start of the first mapconcept.

Let's go. 8)

The trouble is no-one (including me) knows where hell, or heaven, for that matter is.Let alone have proof either place in its biblical sense exists. So to wish one to go there is like giving in computer terms a "false command", resulting in a "error message".
But person to person graphical insults are a tad worse.
But I have a thick skin,..it happens often on the forum/fora. :D

And now back to the map ...I still say, let's go ! =D>

The S2 sniper targetcellblock in R13th is missing.
In the S2 targetcell on the riverbank looks like the river colour.
Perhaps make both target cells more "white" ?

ah, and move the S2 target cell in "chemical plant" in the left corner left of "plant".
So to be consistent with the others.

(that means yellow block next right of "Krasny" ). 8-[

Is there a reason why the purple & yellow snipers only hit 2 territories when the other snipers hit 3? Just wondering...
