Yeh, i'm pretty OK with the batting team, and i think there is enough difference between them and the Proteas
Also, the fielding team circles still look kinda fuzzy... not sure if it's the colour combination or just the JPG file format, but... well, I'm not really sure if it's an issue, you have lots of stuff on this map so obviously you'll be short on colours to use... Still, perhaps you could try a slightly different hue for the fielding team.

The fuzziness is probably coming from a combination of the .jpg and the light yellow outline of the fielders, but refresh your browser as I've changed the width of the outline and that makes a little difference.

Of course you're a natural, cairns... but you don't have a long white beard to show for it :D

Yes, that does look better. Good job on the fielders.

However I wish you'd reconsider on the S.Afr.Proteas issue... It wouldn't have to be a huge change, just a small nudge towards a different shade. Because to my eye, Proteas looks almost exactly the same as the batters. It's your choice of course, and I know this is annoying, sometimes I feel almost 50% of the development of my Nordic map was tweaking the colours... enough to drive a guy bonkers ;)

Anyway, if you made the Proteas colour just a tiny bit lighter, then it would be different enough from the batters, but still fitting in with the other colours. Up to you, but I'd recommend it.

Another feature on the map that distinguishes these two groups is the colour of the troop circles. The batters are in red circles while the Proteas are in blue(? hard to see, since it is a finer line). If the legend depicted both the background and a (tiny) circle of the proper colour for the batters and each group in the stands, it might be more obvious which was which.

Version 22, with altered colour for S Afr Proteas.
Also placed an impassable barrier between batsmen and poilce line in grandstand....still needs some work however.

Could you add connecting lines/territory boundaries between the 3rd Ump and the media guys?

Nooooo, i'm gonna do something different there, but i have to re-organise the legend first to fit the instructions in... ;)

IMO the glow is a bit much... it's making the text blurry. Perhaps if you reduce it just slightly...

The Batting Team font...... really just the words The Batting Team are a little fuzzy to me.

Also the Scoreboard is awesome, but the numbers aren't crisp to me. I have to look at them for a second.

EDIT:::::::::::: It's just the numbers that are

5/14 or whatever.... the double ones.

Now that you mention it, yes those texts in the upper edge (Batting team, Fielding team, Catching six etc.) look a bit fuzzy.

The legend text looks much better now though.

I wonder why it is that people can't see things for themselves.

I'm sorry cairns... it's just the way the mind works. You put 10 people looking at the same picture, and they will each focus on a different part of the picture, depending on their character and individual differences in thought process. When you focus on one part of a picture, you can easily miss other details - until someone else points them out to you, and you really pay attention to it.

One could call it a "mental blind spot"...

Does this help? ;)

More Specifically..........

The Batting Team needs to be........ Less Fuzzy

The Fielding Team needs to be....... One Shade Lighter Green

Catching a Six needs to be........ One Shade Brighter Purple

The Police needs to be........ Less Dark blue. It's in with the black, which makes it blend.

Maybe it would help if you made the very thin strip where the names are a tad lighter?

I know this must be a pain, but I haven't looked at this forever and the first thing my eyes did was go whaaaaaaaaaaaat does that say?
