Angels of Death vs The Odd Fellows Union [18-42] FINAL

Postby jpcloet on Fri Feb 05, 2010 7:12 pm

AOD is proud to play one of the top up and coming Elite clans in TOFU. GL to both sides!

War Settings:
  • 10Q-10T-5D and 5 games of any format home clan prefers (can be either D or T or Q).
  • All maps can be used once in any format for home games (so it makes 3 uses max of each map).
  • No clan member is allowed to participate in more than 20 games (home and away together).
  • Games to be sent in batches of 15 (any 15 games). 2 weeks before next batches start.
  • No speed, freestyle, nuclear, manual or beta maps.

Testing our merits against one of the "elite" clans, finally... :D

Look forward to it, TOFU has always been a class act speeding their way to the top of the rankings, lets hope AOD is the speedbump they need. ;)

TOFU 33-27. I think AOD is better than most give them credit, and will give TOFU all they can handle.

I hope so, and I hope that you throw a few games so you can get the correct prediction... :D

I'm notoriously bad at betting, so it was a deliberate forecast on my part :D

Id be more confused if he said the opposite... "Wow, this is going to horrible. I might as well shoot myself now and save the pain of watching this..." :D

I back TOFU's predictions entirely BTW, they usually have pretty good judgement...

I mostly look backward, so my prediction will be 0-0 at the start of the challenge.

Good luck guys.

It's the reverse jinx, familiar to anyone who's ever read anything nice that Bill Simmons has written about the Lakers. :D

I'm not an habitual gambler, but if I do have a punt on a football match I'll always bet on my own team (Aston Villa) losing. My mates think this is somewhat traitorous, but I prefer to think I win either way. The team win, I lose a few bucks but I'm happy. The team lose, I'm somewhat saddened, but can go out and get blotto on my winnings and wake up in some bordello. Thinking-up an alibi generally takes my mind off the result of the previous day's game :D

On a related note I've been thinking for some time now that it would be fun to run a book on this site. Everyone starts with $100 and can bet on the outcome of any game, the odds being determined by using the divisor of 20 against the points won in the game (i.e. short odds for the higher-ranking team).

I think it would be a lot of fun and would probably keep Blitz out of a Top 10 list for once, hehe, as well as being a welcome distraction from usual CC activity. It could be a lot of work though.
