Roker are a four-piece band from Sunderland, who credit the inspiration for their unique blend of ska-jazz-funk fusion to musical sources as diverse as Enya, Bjork, U2 and The Sex Pistols.

Cure for Curiosity sees the band move away from the heavy beat that their growing fanbase may be more familiar with, making way for an adventurous foray into more melodious synthopop. The gritty vocals seem at odds with the synthesised harmonics, but the suprise appearance of Jean Michel Jarre on the electro-harmonix halfway through the track brings a spine-tingling ambience that will bring you out in goosebumps. This track was awarded 3.7 stars by our review panel, and will be released on a limited edition download only basis at the end of the month.
