Swearing and abuse [Cleared]

Postby Blairstokeshone on Sat Jan 16, 2010 10:24 pm

Dear Sir or madam

Accussed r:Amna7

As part of game 6247891, Amna 7 was agressive and verbally abusive basically because he lost a game, My children play on this and my younger brother, these people are all under 16, his behaviour is totally unacceptable. It was launched in the game chat.

Be sure before you accuse someone!

Accused:

r:Amna7

The accused are suspected of:

Severe PM Abuse
Other: <Explanation>

Game number(s):

6247891

Comments: I feel that this type of behaviour is not in the context of the game, and certainly not in the nature of most Conquer club players, This is the first time I have experienced anything like this.

Many Thanks

Fixed with links, notice you accuse him/her of severe pm abuse, if you forward examples of those to the mods, would be super. Take a screen shot, then send it in a pm to Lord Voldemort :)

SEVERE abuse?>?? He called you a piece of shit....hell for all I know he's a biologist and spot on with the assessment,...really, if there are PM's that cut you up you need to post them...otherwise you need to grow a thicker skin...
As to the "little ones" losing sleep over the horrendous language...most, unfortunately, will hear more before they even get to pre-school...
Haven't you heard about all the satanic foul-mouthed predators lurking on the 'net???...Well, for all it faults, CC has the distinction in that they do honestly give a f*ck...my kids play on here and they see some shit coming out of the mouths of many players but also see that most pps are pretty cool and can understand the distinction between gaming and real life...
They also see that CC, tho' it is a business,is also a community who tries to take a liberal but firm line with those who wanna screw with others for no real reason..
Hell they also see pps posting about 'severe abuse' for being called "a piece of shit" which is good as it help them develope a sense opf humour...
Pls provide more info or get a grip????

Why won't anyone think of the CHILDREN!

Your service provider should have a little box you check that says:

"You understand that you are connecting to the "Internet", right?"

The reason why CC is liberal with this stuff is that they just can't take on the whole gambit of evils the internet presents by themselves. So they pick their battles against the nastier stuff and hope that everyone can take care of themselves and their children.

Click on the community guidelines link there or here and read them before posting. For instance in this case the very bottom topic on Game Chat Guidelines would tell you:

Community Guidelines wrote:Annoying Players:

  • Sometimes you will find yourself in a game with an annoying player. If you do not like their comments in the chat or their playing style, you can add that player to your foe list. Once on the list, you will no longer have to read their comments, and they will not be able to join future games with you if you joined the game first. To modify your Foe (and Friends) List, check out the Friends and Foe Page.
  • If a player's comments do not violate the rules posted below, then do not ask a moderator or administrator to intervene when a player annoys you. This includes curse words and foul language. They are allowed on this site and would be too difficult to moderate every one.
  • After you are eliminated or the game ends, you will have the opportunity to rate your opponent. Use the ratings and up to 4 tags to describe your opponent and warn/encourage future participants.

Amna7 is Cleared.
