I guess this is because the light ups are done on the 'Players' list, which in 'side stats' mode is hidden and/or covered up by the 'Statistics' list that is below the map otherwise.

Yeah, you're right, so the solve shouldn't be that hard. But I have to sleep before I'm gonna make changes, otherwise I'll just make mistakes. Please be patient.

Hey, I can't complain if you never change it. Glad that you do work on it though.

A suggestion for a future version of BOB:

How about a setting that puts some sort of circle or such around the number for territories that you have cards in. This would make seeing where you have cards much, much easier. A nice addition with the new nuclear spoils as well, since it will cut down a lot on you having to search the map for spots your enemies might hold :)

Maybe size it to look like it's highlighting the shadows/circles for the numbers? Not sure which colour would work best for this though.

You work hard at this sher... I'm sure that everyone appreciates it.

I'm amazed that it rarely takes you more than 24hrs to sort a problem.

Thanks for all you've done and have a good Christmas (take the day off)

Thanks for the quick update.

It just makes the games very slow now. I get the report that the script doesn't react each time, after which I have to click continue before I can make my next move.

I think I know what goes wrong. Probably went wrong in a speed game? Some things are stacking now that didn't stack before, every time a refresh happens..

The Map Opacity feature broke a couple of updates back. Now you can see a change when clicking from 100% to 90%, but no further changes until you click back around to 100%. So, those values look right, but 80% to 10% all look like 90%.

I am getting the "unresponsive script" message on almost every medium and large sized maps since upgrading to 4.10.

I am having to open all the games I want to play in in separate tabs so as to avoid the delay at the end of each turn.

i think its because of your computer... there is no way i can open maps with BOB on my work computer even thou i running Linux with 512MB RAM on it and use smallest amount of resources, BOB still requires more(there is no other explanation why its not working)... here at home i have no problems opening any map with BOB, but here i have 3GB RAM on XP...

i think this version should get some serious upgrading as its just wrong using so many resources...

Just a FYI I have found on snapshots. Once a day or so I close Firefox normally. That seems to preserve snapshots at least up to that point. If I don't and Firefox or crashes or power goes out unexpectedly (not a rare occurrence around here), I find I lose a chunk of snapshots taken since the last normal close (don't know how many, but a chunk).

This implies to me it might have more to do with Firefox/GreaseMonkey than with BOB.

I haven't tested this, but think I have observed it accurately. YMMV.

This is Firefox on Ubuntu.

thanks, I should have said that I had discussed this w/sherk before and he was pretty sure it wasn't related to a problem w/BOB. I was hoping someone knew what was causing it.
What you said makes sense b/c I hardly ever shut down and today my internet crashed for about 2 hours.

Just click the link in the opening post of this thread, and it should install the latest version. But you installed from an old link then.

Didn't notice that so far, fixed in the new version.

Hmm, ok that was a tryout, but I guess the host isn't too reliable. I've reverted the change now.

I hope I fixed that now. Stacking doesn't happen any more at least.

It shouldn't use so many resources, I think we agree there (though for the record, my guess is that it uses around 6 mb per page for me, which is much but shouldn't cause this).. I know it works on a winXP-machine with 1GB RAM, that's my setup normally, I haven't run Ubuntu for a while now so I don't know about linux-versions.
But the stacking I mentioned made it worse, that should be gone now.

Just loaded 4.10.1 from the side BOB menu on a PC a running Ubuntu 9.04 and Firefox 3.5.6.

Everything appears to be running smoothly (haven't played any turns yet though). Response time is definitely improved compared to 4.10.0.
