After realizing that a certain game type fills up with only NR's, starting over 100 games of this game type is targeting new recruits.

Do you want us to set a precedent that a player should only set a limited number of games of the same settings to avoid farming?

No, I'd like you continue the precedent you set with Tezu and Krapht and make Aal stop making these games (in addition to a point reset).

Look. I don't really have a position on the whole banning NR's thing. I just want to see consistency.
P.S. Shouldn't banning NR's from Feudal only raise your enjoyment of the map?

Well, that's the thing. Premium accounts do not have any limitations in creating games. If he wants to set up a number of games with the same settings, that is allowed.

That would make sense if there were under 50 games.

However, he must have had at least 50 filled with all new recruits before starting the next 50 games (since there is a 50 game waiting limit). I think there's a rule against making 50 games that you already know will only fill with new recruits.

In this case, he would have had to start a ton of games, watched them fill with new recruits, start a bunch more games, watch all those fill with new recruits, then start some more.

It is idiocy to say that this is not against the rules because there is a tiny chance that for some reason, in some time in the future, people will start joining the games now, even if they did not in the last 50, or the 50 before that.

No, the farming rule does not and should not have anthing to do with ?'s joining your games on their own (with no invites, or tricks with drops, ect).

I think a good way of looking at it is active and passive. If you play a lot of games with ?'s and they came to you on their own, and you are not ACTIVLY dropping or holding invites or anything, then it should be let be.

Why? because any RULES that are made to deal with "Passive" playing of ?'s will only restrict premium players. Either restrict the ?'s further (which will not make them want to join CC very much) or just FUCKING educate them on not biting off more than they can chew.

The rule was set in place because a much higher percentage of the new recruits that join farmers' games leave. Only a small amount stay. Take a look at all those games in the first post, and see how many of those people have stayed to play even 5 games and rank up. It's simply a matter of having a bunch of new recruits in one game. No matter how "nice" or "helpful" the farmer is to the new recruits, having half of the players deatbeat keeps the others from staying.

"Newbie Farming" is the technique of setting up as many games as possible (either by starting or joining them) with New Recruits to gain easy points by taking advantage of difficult game options and the fact the New Recruits are more likely to deadbeat. Some players have been farming extensively - even sending hundreds of PMs to the latest members to get them into their games.

This is a gross abuse of the game. It gives the New Recruit "victims" a poor first experience and reduces the chances of them sticking around. As farmers move up the scoreboard it also harms the competitive nature of Conquer Club - the scoreboard is meant to measure skill in the game, not "harvesting" techniques.
