UNBELIEVABLE. After all the farming threads this crap is going on.

He knows this is wrong. Blatant farming.

I didn't even invite them? The invitations run out, and then they get joined by NR's. I guess when the invitations run out they appear at the top of the new recruit game list. I'll stop if you're so fussed, but you'll have to take my word that I didn't invite any new recruits to any of those games.

It's not bullshit? Do you honestly believe that I'd bother wasting my time by inviting new recruits, and they would join the games? If you look at the game batch, numerous amounts of the games have ranked players in them, which proves my point.

If you people actually care to look at the time the New Recruits that joined my games actually registered on the site, it's after the games were created. Does that prove my point that I didn't invite any New Recruits?! After all, 1 vs 1 games would join with players immediately. In some cases, the players joining the games had only registered 5 minutes before they joined the games, which had already been up for 24 hours or so. I find it laughable that you guys seem to look over that when saying I'm talking bullshit.

Care to share names of those you invited? Maybe get em to actually join to prove your innocent?

I'm not saying I'm innocent. You can call this farming. Although unintentional, it's farming because NR's have joined the games, and people will accuse me of it even when presented with the facts. Many worse cases have gone on, just take a look at the following links:

viewtopic.php?f=239&t=100025
viewtopic.php?f=239&t=100419

What I want to say, though, is that I did not invite New Recruits to the games. That's ridiculous, and would be an intentional act to get NR's in the games, which isn't what I had in mind. Not to mention that I wouldn't exactly call the scale of this "farming" to the big, not at least as big as previous cases which have gone unpunished.

Haha, as mentioned, others have done much worse.

I'm sure you'll agree with me, jefjef, that the verdict for this will be an interesting one, to say the least! Let's hear it!

it appears this member just joined right before you sent him the invite which you happen to start the game only 10 seconds after it began. This is the 1st game on the list. Im obviously not checking them all but you have a history of seeking out new recruits and joining their game prior to this issue.

Just to disprove you, the game number is Game 6096995. This game was created on Saturday, as can be proven by checking games with a similar number. The player joined CC on Sunday! How does one possibly send an invite to a player that does not exist, may I ask!? :?

Check out the others if you care to do so, you'll find this is the case in effectively all the games. Not to mention, half of the games that .44 lists aren't even against New Recruits, haha!

Game 6096991

was created right before you created your games and was a speed game started at

2009-12-12 13:28:41 - Game has been initialized

your response only holds up if you created game 6096995, sent out an invite, the player dint join, and the new recruit joined no more than 30 mins after the invite expired which was 3.5 hours after he became a member. We had this conversation before. It doesnt look good when you have a history of seeking out new recruits and place everyone on ignore that has a chance of beating you. Dint you say you had something like 2,000 players on ignore ? Thats how things come back to haunt you. Its even more funny when you dint even climb the scoreboard using these tactics. Atleast you deleted the remainder of the games. Im not sure if you did that before or after the report but you did delete the rest.

This should be an easy one for the mods to clear up. If X is inviting noobs to his games he should be punished. If not, we are back to the same old debate about what constitutes farming. The classic map is not a complicated map that we would normally associate with farming, nor are the settings particularly ridiculous. I would say, absent evidence that X is inviting noobs to the games, this is not farming. Just my two cents.

That's Classic Shapes, 2p, freestyle. As you can see, this gametype doesn't usually fill up with NR's like say a Feudal 4p used to. In fact, in the most recent pages there are six non-obliterationX-farmee NR is in a game: three started a game, another joined one of the NR-started games, and the other two most likely casually found their way into one of these games.

That's true, but bear in mind that these games were up and had invitations expired on them. Therefore, these games wouldn't have appeared on the last page of "Join A Game" page for ranked players (which is how they usually join up so quickly), but will have appeared at the top for New Recruits (because of their map limitations).

Proof enough that I didn't invite noobs.

Edit: and JOHNNYROCKET24, this also proves why the noob joined within 30 minutes of the game invitation expiring. Can you guys just admit that I didn't invite these players?! :?

So you're inviting inactive players so they expire and NR's join your games.

First let me just state that i'm not a huge Oblit-X fan...

But to argue that he was reserving games for new recruit is a little silly...

More likely reserving games for players low on the scoreboard and they don't know enough to even open their inboxes...

And then when they didnt accept the invites the new recruits jumped in...

Yet another reason why the CC "improvement" of reserving games is silly...

Only thing you should be able to reserve is spots on your team for team games...

Way too easy to take advantage of it...

That being said, Oblit-X hasn't broken any rule here...
Look on my works ye mighty and despair...

If the invites were sent out, to become instantly available to new recruits, and the reason for the original invites was to attract said new recruits...which is very possible, then it is targeting new recruits. I think to prove this, a great number of examples would have to be given, showing he knew by doing this, that those new recruits would join. If he continued after one batch, and set up another, than he did in fact know what would happen, and therefore targeted them.

If you do something once, or many times and new recruits join en masse...then doing it again is targeting them, and expressly against the anti-farming rule and gross abuse of game rule.

If there is only one batch, that happened all at once, it is theoretically possible that he was surprised by it. Theoretically possible anyways. Clearly there was an objective of the invites, and it seems likely the objective was not to have those invited actually join the game.

It is the repeated activities that end up with new recruits in the game that are against the rules. That is targeting them. There have been many techniques, and certainly anyone caught doing this particular version will be guilty of breaking the farming rule from here on out. The question here, really is, was it an unexpected result, or the main objective. The timing of the games will show that Ill bet.
