As for the gameplay vote for Canada, you'd be best off leaving it how it is; you should be focusing on bringing the graphics up to the top-notch, rather than fiddling with the gameplay which (hopefully) has no significant flaws

Agreed. I wouldn't want to see it pushed any further.

Also, I mentioned this this a while back about the bevel on bonus areas. They seem to appear to be overlapping the area to south of themselves. Like fallen dominoes, if that makes since. I don't know if it is the global light position or not. But something is a little screwy there. And it is not as noticeable in some places as others. Mexico, Florida and Libertarians is the the worst places.

Okay, so suggestion? Lighten it up a little more?

MrBenn wrote:I think the thing I liked about mibi's darker version was that it added some texture to the map too... Select black and white from your colour palette, and fill a new layer with "Clouds" (it's a filter option in PS); adjust the contrast of that layer so that it's less gray and more black, and then reduce the opacity to somewhere between 5-15%. That will add a very slight texture to the background, and might make things feel a bit darker. Alternatively, you could use the layer that mibi posted, and just use a lower opacity than he suggested, or mask out some of the darker bits a tad?
