sherkaner does explain that things will be upside down for a while... due to site updates carried out by Lack.

sherkaner wrote:Hmm, I'm adjusting BOB at the moment since lack is gonna do a small site-update that breaks BOB. I'll try to take a look at BOB lite after that (since I'll have to update it to get it to work anyway). I'll try to use cookies this time, so the settings can be stored. But storing snapshots still creates too many problems.

Btw, from now on: If you update, you'll get version 4.9.7. It works now, except for some minor things. It will work after Lack's update (and 4.9.6 and previous versions will fail).

Give the guy a bloody chance

I'm sure you already know, but one bug that I have noticed with the new update, is that Map Inspect doesn't work for any team other than the first. Team 1 works fine, as does each individual player. Just not team 2.

Note: I am only in games with 2 teams. I don't know if teams 3, or 4 have the same issue.

Yes, I am aware of it. I expect another version update will be needed soon (after the dust settles), so I haven't updated the version number yet. But if you would (re)install now, it would work again.

Lackattack recommended to ask for a feature that hides the new eyesore. (if you do can you keep the cards available there)

You might already know this, but the spoils column is showing the number of troops due instead of the number of spoils. I'm gonna assume you're just waiting for the next update before you change anything, right?

Naah, I guess Lack changed the order just now...

There is now an option to turn side stats off, though I'm not completely satisfied with it. Turning it back on doesn't work for instance, but if you leave it on it will be back after a refresh.

If you have vesion 4.9.8 and you're in a game, go to the BOB menu-> View options->Side stats and turn that off. That gives you something like the old interface.

The irony - BOB was once created to make statistics - now it's been modified to remove them!!!

yeah, it's funny. If it were developed today, they'd probably start with moving the table first, and adding data to it.
But we already know a better option, you really want the player names there :D. Irony indeed.

I would like to remove the side stats but also have Auto BOB OFF.

Can you make it so Auto BOB=OFF does not restore side stats please?

Thanks in advance if this can happen!

Hey clanmate,

Ehm, did you pick version 4.9.8 up very early after the update (in the first 6 mins)?
The flashing is unavoidable, lack just puts in a table after every action, but in the first version (which was only online for 6 mins) switching to the old layout wasn't the first thing I did. Now it is. I usually don't notice it myself any more. (And yes, I have it on for some reason. I guess part of me is conservative..)
So you could try reinstalling through clicking 'Latest Version Installed'?

Hmm, I could make that work. But that does break the way things work now, I'll put it in a beta first and PM you when I need someone to check.

yea I posted this in another thread. I can live with side stats in my casual games (although I still prefer it disabled), but when I really don't want the side stats is FS speeders, in which I have BOB turned OFF for those. I'm still stuck  Thanks for original update though, it's a lot better than nothing =D>

hey sherkaner, can you stop the screen from bouncing up and down without the update. many of us do NOT want to update Bob, I like the version I have. Anyways, can you make it so the screen does not bob up and down (no pun intended). Seriously though, very annoying. Thanks if you can, it must be possible? CC players should have a right of options and which option to use on bob, they should not be forced to use the latest version, seems like that is the card being played here, update to latest version, if not, your screen will bob up and down and drive you mad? I already have misdeployed, misforted and put ideas in game chat for all to see, etc, all due to this bouncing screen, really irritates me. Please fix this.

I have no idea what bug you're talking about. You're sure you're using version 4.9.8? And if so, please elaborate.

I understand how you think, but I like the idea of having only 1 version to maintain. So I'd appreciate it more if you would switch to the latest version (if only to check whether it works for you). And otherwise you'll have to make small adjustments yourself. Easy one here is to make sure BOB can't find the clock, so it can't ever update the clock. Code for that is probably in the method countDown.

Hey sherkaner,

Not a big bug here, but a bug nonetheless that perhaps you should be aware of.

With the latest BOB (4.9.8), and the Side Stats off, there is a minor glitch with the colour codes. During the game, if I turn colour codes on or off (either change does it), the Side Stats reappear and BOB will not update unless I reload BOB.

It's not a big issue, just something you should be aware of.

A friend of mine is blind and wondered if he could play Conquer Club. He uses a screen reader program for his computer called JAWS. He might be able to play Conquer Club with the BOB script on, using the text map, if you included an option to turn colour codes on in the text maps. Right now you can only see the colour of the font to know who owns what, but ofc if you are blind the colour will not help you, even if you are colour blind the colour is not useful. Would it be a lot to add colour codes to the text map?
