I'll stop revising here. Let more people get a chance to chime in.

I changed water to a "clouds" effect. I changed the title to Italia.

I also originally didn't like the drop shadow on the northern side (lands end) over the land as it makes italy appear to be floating - but the more I worked with it, the more I liked it. The country we are focusing on is Italy, why not have it stand out? If more people dislike than I will change.

I toyed with the Italian flag as a backdrop for the legend. Didn't work. I tried some big solid colored blocks - but it was too distracting. I'll also let more people voice their opinion on this, and if the masses speak, I will change.

Thanks !!!
Rob.

Fantastic! The sea is now perfect. Don't change it. Great job!

One small thing I noticed if you want to refine a bit. The Bonus on the Italian flag is not very clear as it is in white. Maybe you could use some other colour like blue. I suggested blue because the Italian sports teams use blue as the national colour. "Gli Azzurri". However any other colour or maybe using black to outline the outside of the word bonus can also work.

I used a drop shadow with the angle straight down and the spread = 2 ( i think). I dont think the word "Bonus" looks that bad?

Not sure I understand. I see the intersection with the 4 areas - should it not be there?

i liked the diagonal lines, made ur map different to all the others, in a good way (thats what i think anyway). I would have liked the lines on the right of the map where you had two colours

Just a thought, east and West toscana look out of place
Shouldn't it be Toscana Est and Toscana Ovest being that th rest of the map is in Italian?

a 4 border crossing always makes people wonder what if that can attack that, just move 1 border away from it

1) Thanks for the compliments all.

2) I also liked the stripes in the water. However, as pointed out earlier, maybe staring at the map for a while during a game would strain the eyes? Easy to change back - just would like a little more feedback. Ruben Cassar & Lupo provided tons of feedback which I why I changed the lines upon Ruben's request.

3) I understand about the 4-way border. That will be fixed.

4) MonRepos great point. East & West Tuscnana will be translated.

5) Besides the 4-way intersection (which will be changed), anyone else see any playablity issues?

Yes I missed those two names. They should be changed to Italian in fact as he suggested. Please do not change the colour of the sea. It's not that I didn't like it before, but it put a strain on my eyes and I wouldn't be able to play this great map once it is quenched as much as I would like to, and not playing an Italian map is not an option for me! ;) No other major issues in my opinion.

1) Ruben - I changed the water to a grid pattern instead of the stripes. Does this work better?

2) Fixed East / West Tuscany Names

3) Changed Est / West Tuscan 4-way border.

No, sorry but that diagonal pattern hurts my eyes. :( Why can't we keep the one you had before?

We can - I was just providing an alternative - to see if was easier on the eyes. To me the stripes / grid pattern isn't that offensive. But it's not just me playing the map

The other "cloud" pattern is saved as a layer that I can replace the current grid pattern with. Your input is greatly appreciated. Where has Lupo been? Also great work on your Malta map - I've been watching it progress and am looking forward to playing that as well.

Haven't seen Lupo for a while on the forum. Thanks for the compliment. I hope to finish it some day soon. :)

Great map. Nice colors and graphics. Also I liked the sea.
Good job. I have no suggestions. It seems everything is done to make it a great playable gamemap

Btw, you forgot to rename the seas as well.

Mar Mediterraneo
Mar Adriatico
Mar Tirreno

Check out this link. I've created a flash file / slide show which shows 5 different variations on the seas. Pretty cool...
