Okay... this is kinda silly,
but who more so than map makers would enjoy seeing how maps were made in 1940..

Ah, I love these old educational films. Not far from the 'how it's made' documentaries of today but with a completely different 'modern' flavor.

That was amusing. I (well my dad) owns a '67 Land Cruiser, and I can assure you that no car from 42 years ago "smoothly cooperates" over Vermont dirt roads—not to mention a 1940 sedan…
