We had some players deadbeat in our group. Can we get points for eliminating them? I assumed no, but it might change how I play at least one game if we can.

We had some players deadbeat in our group. Can we get points for eliminating them? I assumed no, but it might change how I play at least one game if we can.

When a player deadbeats in a game, the player that knocks him out gets his points whenever that may be. If you eliminate the rest of your opponents and win the game without taking out the deadbeat, you get the kill points attributed to when the game was finished. Maybe it would be easier with an example.

Player A, B and C are playing a game. Player A deadbeats from the start and is kicked out in round 3. Player B and C are left to fight it out. If Player B knocked out the deadbeat in round 5, he gets it attributed as regular (4 points for a kill and 10 points for doing it in 5 rounds or less). Then he continues to fight Player C and it all follows as usual.

However, if Player B were to knock out Player C first in Round 5, then he would immediately get the the 4 points and 10 kill points from player C and the exact same amount for beating player A just as if he had eliminated him in that round too.

In terms of placement points though, the round that the deadbeat is kicked is the round he died. Anyone eliminated before he missed his first of three points is considered lower and anyone eliminated during his missed turns and after is counted as higher in the final placement.

I hope this clarifies any confusion and if there are more questions, just post them up.

In terms of updating, I don't update the score until the games are done and I believe the current standings were updated as of last night but I shall check if any of the last 3 games from last night from your group, Captain Moo, have finished.

edit: yes both finished an hour ago or less and I update at midnight each night so there you are... the newest update is in the thread's first page
