And that should do what for the map :-k I'm thinking it will make it stand out more, or to differentiate it from the rest of the map.

Don't scratch your chin with me.

Just a graphics idea.. Breaks up solid colors & blends the AMEXICO theme.

lol! Okay I see what you are saying. Time to play!

Is there such a thing as political copy right infringements on the icons of said parties? And would they complain? If so may wanna do a tweek. Misspelling & icon change. Like Depublicans and Lemocrats and Ribertarians.

Better check with the legal department.

Good idea but I don't think I want to go there. There was already to much heat from my original idea.
NO, this is a brilliant idea. =D>

The info I have is that any government logo, picture etc. is not copy written because it is of the people. That includes money (but don't try and pass it off as real). Well except for Canada where the bills are copy written (yes believe it or not The Bank of Canada has put a Copy Right on their paper money).

Actually, Since this is a satirical form of art, you can use any image that you want. no matter if it is copyrighted or not. So long as the image is not used for a product or service that is in direct competition with the original. So for instance, you can use Ronald McDonald in a skit about safe sex, but you can not use it to sell hamburgers. ;)

Gotcha.

But whats funnier than Lemocrats - Depublicans - ribertarians?

NICE logo Dim!! Can ya make that a turtle or a snail?

On a more serious strategic note. How about a connecting tert from cuba to the bottom AMEXICO tert. Use a row boat or flimsy raft. :D 4 killer neutral. One way attack.

BTW: Copyrighting Canadian money is the only thing that gives it value.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I think it is good the way it is because no one would attack that 1 killer neutral territory just to get to Cuba or Amexica. Also if there were more than one one way attacks, okay no problem, but since there are none it would detract from the map and game play.

Sure they would to break a bonus or get to that sheltered cap(s). Maybe not one way or killer but it would give a flow to the bottom. Another option.

Nice map. Now I step back and out of the way.

Good map, good mapmaker.
It seems we are all happy with this map now.
We have a lot of maps about North America, but i think this one is different and it will be great addition when quenched.

I am pleased to issue this map the draft stamp on behalf of the foundry community
Let's go to refine gameplay!

Okay. now here is V6!

Changes made, well really only one. Changed the background for Ecovania from the Recycling symbol to a grassy type background, and darkened it as well.

I have also made a slightly different version. This is in response to a couple of people wanting an attack route between Cuba and Amexica. It is V6a. Please let me know which one you would prefer.

P.S. I also Turned the Democratic donkey so that it is now facing left, and it is in V6a.

The Quebec bonus is sheltered. It needs another way in.

Count the connecting terts and compare to your other +4 bonus regions.

Connecting that ship to that bonus also gives a flow to the map comparable to the Cuba - Amexica flow. It's a dead end part of the map.

Think it should connect to Natashquan from Maryland.

I also like a longer "jump" on the other side. How about connecting it to Bakersfield OR San Diego.

There should be a pirate route from Nova Scotia to Labrador.
Make the mountains a little more different, instead of just using the same little mountain thing for every mountain range.

I too, thank you for your hard work and guts to stand up to well, I will say it, bullies! A favorite tactic of many political do gooders.

Looking forward to playing it.

i'd like the bonuses to be easier to see. not that they are illegible, but they don't match like where they are really, so its hard to tell...

plus i feel as though too many of the continents have similar colors...

what 's wrong with the "boats"?
The boat icons you don't like, but the sea attack routes (like the one on the California peninsula !) are ok ?
Or do you dismiss all the suggested sea attack routes ?

For me , I think the sea attack routes are needed (Cuba -Mexico very important !, MaryLnd-NovaSc also important and realistic (naval bases up there), Ecovil-Victor ..not necessary at all) as it creates (as always with the USA triangle shape) THE succespath for the map: start in the (south) corner with small corner zones (Cuba, New England..and Mexico bit bigger) having rear backed and seeping into the next middle large zones (Quebec, Democr---Libert --Tex, Libert).
You can argue about "pirate revert to neutrals" but the naval routes (at least 2 of them) are an asset to the map. ;)

Well, boo boats if they're additional territories because I think they just dirty up the map. I actually tend to agree with your analysis of the sea routes (though on a map this size Cuba is hardly the threat that Oceania is in Classic). But those routes can be represented with orange arrows like the rest of them.

OK game play wise I think no boats or connections because I think there is enough action going on already and having extra territs w/Kill Newt with only make it very tactical in a desperation suicide attempt which is point less in the long run
if you do keep the routes keep it as just that, but i don't think its necessary at all, imo
I think you can lower the libertarians down to maybe a 5 because with it being 8 once a player captures Cuba and the libs its a whopping +10 bonus for only having to defend against 6 borders holding only 4 territs.
All of the capitals are nicely placed apart no major clumps
but maybe have Victoria as the capital of Canada instead of lake head which might male them a little better gameplay wise but i think its good

colour blind issues: maybe a different colour for Quebec or New England or a switch with another one they are the same colour to me and thus making it hard to know where one start and the other one end (hope that makes sense)

I'm sure the possibilities are not great for dropping 7 plus capitals in a 1v1 but one of the CA may have a better idea

That's all for now other then a few graphic nitpicks which we'll worry about until you have your GP stamp

Good job Man

Quebec... 3 terts to secure the border from 3 terts that can attack... It's where I would start for sure as it is. Compare it to the other 4 bonus regions.

It needs another way in or a value reduction. IMO.
