Personally, I believe that its very clear that I am trying to discuss the actual topic of the debate throughout the entire thread. I post a lot, but it is always in response, and in no way attacking any of the posters. Perhaps I am not allowed to respond to direct responses to my posts, but most would probably disagree.
However, which posts do you think are spamming, trolling or spamming? Many suggested this was the case, but when asked to quote them, not one actually responded. I only saw empty accusations...which were infact the trolling and spamming themselves.
Most got off topic in that thread, which was about BK, and why he might be permabanned, and how he might avoid it. Many avoided the discussion itself completely, to simply discuss the poster, and not the posts. Personally, I didnt see anything in there that could really be considered a flame in any way. It was clearly a collection of posts that were meant to be adversarial, but hardly direct attacks.
One could easily suspect the motive of flaming, but I didnt see one direct flame in there, and I think it would be a mistake to really label anything other than a direct personal attack as a flame.
But, once again...please quote me where you think I break the rules. I try very hard to stay in the guidelines, so Id like to see what you would consider to be breaking them and what you would consider to be flaming, trolling, or spamming. I do of course ask that you post whatever post I was responding too, because I never once posted in that thread, without a direct mention of my name, or my post, except for the main discussion of the topic, which I put quite a bit of time into, and was more than thorough with my explanation of my ideas on the subject.
What really is surprising however, is how most of the accusations of spamming, flaming and trolling, seem to be coming from the same people that are against banning, and have supported flame wars, and have spent quite a bit of time complaining that the mods have been too restrictive in the forum. It kind of reduces the credibility of someone, if they say the mods moderate too much, and then turn around and accuse everyone of trolling and spamming...thereby, becoming trolls and spammers themselves. It certainly seems self-defeating to the original goal in any case.
