I've been reading the newsletter since around issue 26 (maybe earlier) I don't remember. I mostly read it to see if there is an interesting topic regarding tournament play or just to see how certain players are doing compared to the rest of the community, who are recent winners for instance. I like the interactive sections such as taking sign ups, poll question, honour roll, and the interviews.
I feel like this newsletter is lacking something that it needs desperately and a I think the newshound section is big part of that. There has to be some editorial content that grabs the attention of the readers. This doesn't have to be about flaming or complaining or whatever. It could just spotlight some interesting development and run with it. Playing styles, tournament theory, points versus bracket tourneys, benefits of defensive / offensive strategy. There is just so much to talk about and so many interesting tournament players who play for the fun of it.
Some changes need to be made and you sailor should actively take part in both editing and writing your own section with some zeal. Forget the haters, you're just wasting your time. Just write.
