There has only been 1 Official Clan Tournament (eg. Olympics as run by TD NS). I know that many people would like to see more of these.

absolutely!!

of course you would see more clan tournaments in general if we were allowed to have tourney rights for them.... but it is my understanding that they want to keep clan things and tourney things separately. ignoring the similarities and the areas where the two may cross over and the areas where it is ambiguous...

but yeah, more official tourneys would be awesome!

I agree with hwhr completely. Clan tourneys are the best experience on the site because it's a team working together through a lot of games against a lot of opponents. For those who don't know, clans also keep the best people (and most of the time the best behaved people) on the site as well. Good clans are a community and friendships are forged. More clan tourneys would certainly benefit CC as a whole as clans would continue to grow and develop. I hope admin sees that side of it as well...tourney rights for clans, more clan tourneys, it is beneficial for all.

I feel that this is one of the largest missed opportunities if not only for tournaments, but the site as a whole.

I'd definitely consider getting into Tournaments---the only I've really played in was the Olympics---so perhaps more would sweep me off my feet!

Clan tourny's
Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!!
I think there are so many types of tourny's
now and so many player's to participate that
all this could do is help CC as a whole.

Wasn't there a plan to implement clan tournaments in addition to easier ways to create tournaments? In any case, I certainly agree with there being more official tournaments, perhaps with premium prizes attached. Clan tournaments, sure, why not? Then again...I need an actual clan for that kind of thing. -.-

I wasn't around for the Olympics tournament, but the name has defined the concept of "Official" tournaments for me. It's like the World Cup of tournaments, run by people who really know their stuff. Ahhh, what a victory that would be, to win on the biggest stage. Yes, more would be awesome.

Due to the limited time moderators have for this sort of thing, i would like to see the Tourney directors nominate a select group of non mod regular tournament organizers , who they are confidant will be able to run these types of things in a professional manner.
