I copied and pasted 5 pages... it wasnt that hard...lol... and its for fun on this one as well as for effect, so no harm done. Ive spent much more time on silly things in CC. A quick list through my posts will show this one to be a little one. The list of games was displayed just to show the sheer volume of non-newbies that join my games, and the insignificance of the few newbies that unfortunately do join in.

Once again, I have no grudge with demon. I stumbled on some games he joined with new players and thought it might be point farming, so I posted them.

He is of course welcome to join my world games that I set up. Many high ranks join and have fun as you can see.

BTW, these kinds of spurious accusations were caused by the original farming ruling. It should have been made much more clear that there is nothing wrong with high rankers playing low rankers as long as those low rankers understand the kind of game they are playing i.e they aren't question marks anymore. IF a private joins a game which he doesn't understand (such as one of AAFitz' foggy freestyle nightmare experiences) then one must hope that he at least learned something from the experience!

I have nothing to settle and I did report him first as Woodruff said. I stumbled on his games and it seemed he was farming so I reported it. He reported me for farming so I responded.

You wont find me saying one thing bad about demonfork except that he is obviously targeting the newest of players, including newbies occasionally, and that I dont know if that is against the rules.

That being said, though Ive shown I wasnt newbie farming by any stretch of the imagination, I have nothing against Demon for making this thread. Ive set up over 800 world 1v1 games. I play it, because the play is straight forward, and there are no tricks and I enjoy the game play... but no one is above the law. I deserve to be scrutinized like everyone else, and if this does happen to be wrong, then Id love to have a way to stop every single new player from joining... even though I do enjoy the opportunity to try to hook them on the game, by playing fairly, being welcoming, and helpful...admittedly all while trying to kill them of course...and usually this means telling them not to join games like mine.

However, there isnt much more I can do if even ten percent of the games do happen to get joined by the occasional new recruit. I obviously not targeting them, since the other 90% are other players, and I almost never ever join games. Certainly you wont find me joining a new player easily, not to say I never have.

But again, though obviously retalitory, Demon had every right to post my games to find out if I was farming, (especially after he spent all that time searching through 300 games...lol)... just as I posted his games. I see nothing wrong with keeping people honest, especially if its aimed at making the site better.

If he is truly sickened that some new recruits stumbled into 20 or so of my 300 or more games, and thinks it cheating, then he is perfectly entitled to that opinion.

Thats ironically exactly what demon said about me picking out a few game on his first page, before he scoured through 4 or 5 pages of my games looking for some new recruits.

Well, I clicked on his games, which was just accidental...i believe i was looking at someones ratings, and I just ended up there or something...I never went looking for anything.... and just happened to see that he was joining lots of new players, including a new recruit here or there. They were all on his first page, and all very recently and very tightly grouped, literally one after another in some cases or I never even would have seen it. Everyone is assuming this was some personal attack on demonfork, when it really was me just stumbling on a player repeatedly joining lots of newbies, all in a row, which was obvious with one click on demonforks games...try it, its impossible to miss. If it hadn't been game after game of him joining, I wouldnt even have looked into it. I wasnt looking for farming or any wrong doing in the first place, because I didnt even realize such behavior was legal in the first place, and assumed people had stopped.

I did think it was farming obviously, but wasnt sure, so I made a thread asking if it was farming. Even then as I said before, I only expected a mod to say, "thats ok", or "thats not ok". I never suggested any punishment, or even think any is necessary even if it is deemed to be farming. I knew that there were anti-newbie farming rules, and I assumed that killing people with 2, 5, 10, 11 games broke them...especially when systematic, and over a very short period of time, in his case, nearly all at the same time. Certainly there isnt much difference between someone who's played 4 games, and someone whos played 5 I wouldnt think. I thought all the newbies were protected from this kind of targeting.

The rest is out of my control. He did seem worked up about my killing those few newbies mixed throughout my games, so it is very possible he thinks its farming. He does seem to know the rules inside and out. If its illegal to set up 300 games, and have 30 or so newbies join, than I guess it is farming. And if this leads to an option where I can block newbies from joining, or they can be blocked, than this thread will have served a greater purpose.

Well I'm not sure what I see in his games is specific targeting..... Yes he plays a lot of low ranks (and therefore puts alot of points on the table) but I also see he plays some of high rank.... When ya set up a game you have no control of who joins........ and when ya join a game set up by other players isnt it an open invitation to play?...... No one gets to choose who they play except for the games they voluntarily join. I know some players try to join games that they are the lowest rank so the losses don't cost em much & the wins pay off..... Is that farming also??? Ya all should drop the complaints & shake the dice.......

Every game I listed of his were games that he joined and were all on the first page of his games, as I said. I didnt even look at any that he set up, since he has no control over that. Had he not been joining new players including new recruits, I never would have posted anything.

Well it isnt about rank, its about the experience of the player. This game is about global domination after all, and Im not at all advocating protecting players simply because of their rank. However, joining a player who has played 6 games is still joining a new player, which to me, is covered under the phrase, "systematically targeting new players" which is how it is written on the rules page. If there are other disclaimers to this rule fine, but its obvious from that page, that targeting new players is against the rules. Its more than obvious what the rule is for, and what it is trying to stop. Lacks explanation of it, does go into more detail, but that does not mean that someone trying to slip around the technicalites of the rule will be immune. It very easily could be decided to be a gross abuse of game to join lots of new players with only 5 to 30 games.

As that rule is stated on the rules page, I think it is self-evident.

Now, if I somehow found a way to get many new players to join my games, id be guilty of it too. As it turns out though, I get far more experienced players mixed in with my world games. Without a doubt some new ones join, but there isnt much I can do about that, and since the percentage is so low, it would be hard to call it a systematic targeting of them I would think. If it is, then Im all for a way to stop them from joining. I do enjoy playing on world, and very much enjoy winning on it....but blowouts are simply boring as hell, which is why I play on that map, which offers lots of chances for a good game, and not just a drop or dice blowout.

If I start joining all the players with 10 games on it however, and lots of them, I would obviously be guilty of farming. I try to stay away from any new player as much as possible, as the rules seem to imply is farming.

Well maybe there is a way CC can put a join game block that doesnt allow ? - cooks and cadets from playing anyone of an officer class. that could for sure reduce the ability to "farm" and possibly stop some of the multi cheating too..............

I would have to guess that no one with 6000 games and almost 3 years has escaped the pit. I am utterly amazed it has taken this long.
