Q? about alliance? (when is it "cheating")

Postby Kid_Cisc0 on Mon Jan 29, 2007 10:31 pm

Is an alliance considered cheating if two of the strongest players join up to conquer the weaker one?

These conditions were unlimited, and would not be over till I was eliminated. I was almost an equal, and no one was in a winning position. Neither of the teams w/ the truce attacked each other till I was eliminated, no matter how close or powerful their armies were.

To me it seems the odds were in their favor and the game was not played out to individually conquer and win strategically.

Seems they should have been playing “TEAM” risk.

Is this cheating?

They announced that this was their plan in the game chat? If so its not explicitly cheating but its certainly an abuse of the game.

If this was allowed, you could join every game with a doubles partner and make your first statement 'let's work together to kill the third wheel, then its a fight to the death'. That is technically 'allowed' in the rules but is obviously not in the spirit of the game and shouldn't be tolerated. This type of situation would warrant negative feedback I think, at least as far as I understand it. Posting the game link might clarify things though!

They did announce the truce, and it was relevant at the time. The way they continued to only attack me for rounds on end while they gained power, working as a team, is what I felt was unsportsmanlike conduct. 2 on 1 w/ unlimited truce isn't playing competitively.

I agree, that I just left negative feedback, and did not consider it cheating per say.

I'm with you Kid

I don't object when 2 or more players concentrate their efforts on me if I have a clear advantage. I do object when they take it to the point of eliminating me.

put them on your ignore list.
